(ابلیس نے) کہا: میں ہر گز ایسا نہیں (ہو سکتا) کہ بشر کو سجدہ کروں جسے تو نے سِن رسیدہ (اور) سیاہ بودار، بجنے والے گارے سے تخلیق کیا ہے،

and surely, we created you (your father adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of a human being), then we told the angels, "prostrate to adam", and they prostrated, except iblis (satan), he refused to be of those who prostrate.
او رہم نے تمہیں پیدا کیا پھر تمہاری صورتیں بنائیں پھر فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو پھر سوائے ابلیس کے سب نے سجدہ کیا وہ سجدہ کرنے والوں میں سے نہ تھا
