آسمان کی قسم جس میں برج ہیں

i call to witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the zodiac,
آسمان کی قسم جس میں برج ہیں

remember your lord in your soul with humility and fear, and not with a loud voice, morning and evening, and do not be among the inattentive.
اور (اے پیغمبر(ص)) صبح و شام اپنے پروردگار کو یاد کرو۔ اپنے دل میں عجز و انکساری اور خوف و ہراس کے ساتھ۔ اور زبان سے بھی چِلائے بغیر (یعنی دھیمی آواز کے ساتھ) اور (یادِ خدا سے) غفلت کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہو جاؤ۔

or, until you cause the sky to fall upon us in pieces, as you have claimed, or, as a surety bring allah with the angels in front;
یا آپ آسمان کو ہم پر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کرکے گرا دیں جیسا کہ آپ کا گمان ہے یا آپ خود اللہ تعالیٰ کو اور فرشتوں کو ہمارے سامنے ﻻکھڑا کریں

it is he who sends the winds to you with the glad news of his mercy and who sends purifying rain from the sky
اور وہ وہی ہے جو ہواؤں کو اپنی رحمت (بارش) سے پہلے خوشخبری بنا کر بھیجتا ہے۔ اور ہم آسمان سے پاک اور پاک کرنے والا پانی برساتے ہیں تاکہ اس کے ذریعہ کسی مردہ شہر (غیر آباد) کو زندہ کریں اور اپنی مخلوق میں سے بہت سے جانوروں اور انسانوں کو پلائیں۔

present to them the example of the life of this world so like the water we send down from the skies that mingles with the earth to nourish its vegetation, which then on the morrow turns to stubble and is blown away by the wind. god has power over everything.
اور ان سے دنیا کی زندگی کی مثال بیان کرو مثل ایک پانی کے ہے جسے ہم نے آسمان سے برسایا پھر زمین کی روئیدگی پانی کے ساتھ مل گئی پھر وہ ریزہ ریز ہ ہو گئی کہ اسے ہوا ئیں اڑاتی پھرتی ہیں اور الله ہر چیز پر قدرت رکنے والا ہے

it is god who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure. and he designed you, and designed you well; and he provided you with the good things. such is god, your lord; so blessed is god, lord of the worlds.
الله ہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے زمین کو آرام گاہ بنایا اور آسمان کو چھت اور تمہاری صورتیں بنائیں اور پاکیزہ چیزوں سے تمہیں رزق دیا وہی الله تمہارا پالنے والا ہے پس سارے جہان کا پالنے والا الله با برکت ہے

and assuredly we vouchsafed unto musa the book and we followed him up by the apostles after him, and unto 'lsa, son of maryam, we vouchsafed evidences and aided him with the holy spirit. then so often as there came unto you an apostle with that which your souls desired not, ye waxed stiff necked; and some ye belied and some ye slew?
البتہ ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب (توراۃ) عطا کی۔ اور ان کے بعد ہم نے پے در پے رسول بھیجے اور عیسیٰ بن مریم کو کھلی نشانیاں عطا کیں اور روح القدس کے ذریعہ سے ان کی تائید کی۔ (اس کے باوجود جب بھی کوئی رسول تمہاری خواہشات نفسی کے خلاف کوئی حکم لے کر تمہارے پاس آیا تو تم نے تکبر کیا سو بعض کو جھٹلایا اور بعض کو قتل کر ڈالا۔
