therefore stand firm [in the straight path] as you are commanded, along with those who have turned to god with you, and do not exceed the bounds, for he sees everything you do.
நீரும் உம்மோடு திருந்தியவரும் ஏவப்பட்டவாறே உறுதியாக இருப்பீர்களாக் வரம்பு மீறி விடாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவன் நீங்கள் செய்வதை கவனித்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

say to the people of the book, "do not wrongly exceed the proper limit of devotion to your religion or follow the desires of the people who have erred. they have misled many others and have themselves stayed far away from the right path.
"வேதமுடையவர்களே! நீங்கள் உங்கள் மார்க்கத்தில் உண்மையில்லாததை கூறி வரம்பு மீறாதீர்கள். (உங்களுக்கு) முன்பு வழிதவறிச் சென்ற கூட்டத்தாரின் மனோ இச்சைகளை நீ; ங்கள் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள்;. அநேகரை அவர்கள் வழி தவறச் செய்ததுடன், தாங்களும் நேர் வழியை விட்டு விலகி விட்டனர்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

and do not kill any one whom allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, we have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided.
(கொலையை) அல்லாஹ் விலக்கியிருக்க நீங்கள் எந்த மனிதனையும் நியாயமான காரணமின்றிக் கொலை செய்து விடாதீர்கள்; எவரேனும் அநியாயமாகக் கொலை செய்யப்பட்டு விட்டால், அவருடைய வாரிசுக்கு (பதிலுக்கு பதில் செய்யவோ அல்லது மன்னிக்கவோ) நாம் அதிகாரம் கொடுத்திருக்கிறோம்; ஆனால் கொலையி(ன் மூலம் பதில் செய்வதி)ல் வரம்பு கடந்து விடக் கூடாது நிச்சயமாக கொலையுண்டவரின் வாரிசு (நீதியைக் கொண்டு) உதவி செய்யப் பட்டவராவார்.

and do not wish for that by which allah has made some of you exceed others. for men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. and ask allah of his bounty. indeed allah is ever, of all things, knowing.
மேலும் எதன் முலம் உங்களில் சிலரை வேறு சிலரைவிட அல்லாஹ் மேன்மையாக்கியிருக்கின்றானோ, அதனை (அடையவேண்டுமென்று) பேராசை கொள்ளாதீர்கள்;. ஆண்களுக்கு, அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்த(வற்றில் உரிய) பங்குண்டு. (அவ்வாறே) பெண்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்(வற்றில் உரிய) பங்குண்டு. எனவே அல்லாஹ்விடம் அவன் அருளைக் கேளுங்கள்;. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் நன்கு அறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

(and said): "eat of the good things we have given you for food, and do not exceed the bounds (of law) in this, or my wrath will surely fall upon you; and he who incurs my wrath will fall into the abyss.
"நாம் உங்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ள தூய்மையானவற்றிலிருந்து உண்ணுங்கள்; (அதற்கு நன்றி செலுத்தாமல்) அழிச்சாட்டியம் செய்யாதீர்கள்; (அப்படி செய்வீர்களானால்) உங்கள் மீது என் கோபம் இறங்கி விடும்; மேலும், எவன் மீது என் கோபம் இறங்குகிறதோ, அவன் நிச்சயமாக வீழ்வான்.
