and we divided them throughout the earth into nations. of them some were righteous, and of them some were otherwise. and we tested them with good [times] and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience].
அவர்களை நாம் பூமியில் பல பிரிவினராகச் (சிதறித்திரியுமாறு) ஆக்கி விட்டோம்; அவர்களில் நல்லவர்களுமிருக்கின்றார்கள். அதுவல்லாத கெட்டவர்களும் இருக்கின்றார்கள் - அவர்கள் (நன்மையின் பால்) திரும்பும் பொருட்டு அவர்களை நன்மைகளைக் கொண்டும், தீமைகளைக் கொண்டும் சோதித்தோம்.

we sent forth noah and abraham, and appointed the prophethood and the book to be given to their descendants. some were guided, but many wereimpious.
அன்றியும், திடமாக நாமே நூஹையும், இப்ராஹீமையும் (தூதர்களாக) அனுப்பினோம், இன்னும், அவ்விருவரின் சந்ததியில் நுபவ்வத்தை (நபித்துவத்தை)யும் வேதத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தினோம், (அவர்களில்) நேர்வழி பெற்றவர்களும் உண்டு, எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் ஃபாஸிக்குகளாக - பாவிகளாக இருந்தனர்.

each we seized by his sin. against some we sent a sandstorm. some were struck by the blast. some we caused the ground to cave in beneath them. and some we drowned. it was not god who wronged them, but it was they who wronged their own selves.
இவ்வாறு, நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அவரவர் செய்த பாவத்தின் காரணமாகப் பிடித்தோம்; அவர்களில் சிலர் மீது கடும்புயல் மூலமாக கல்மாரியை அனுப்பினோம்; அவர்களில் சிலரை பேரிடி முழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது அவர்களில் சிலரைப் பூமியினுள் அழுந்தச் செய்தோம்; அவர்களில் சிலரை மூழ்கடித்தோம்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு அநியாயம் செய்வதற்காக இருக்க வில்லை அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டார்கள்.

so we seized each one for his sins; some we struck with a violent storm; some of them were overcome by a sudden blast, some were swallowed up by the earth and some we drowned. god did not wrong them: they wronged themselves.
இவ்வாறு, நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அவரவர் செய்த பாவத்தின் காரணமாகப் பிடித்தோம்; அவர்களில் சிலர் மீது கடும்புயல் மூலமாக கல்மாரியை அனுப்பினோம்; அவர்களில் சிலரை பேரிடி முழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது அவர்களில் சிலரைப் பூமியினுள் அழுந்தச் செய்தோம்; அவர்களில் சிலரை மூழ்கடித்தோம்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு அநியாயம் செய்வதற்காக இருக்க வில்லை அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டார்கள்.

and we dispersed them through the earth in communities - some were righteous, others were not -and we tested them with prosperity and adversity that they may turn back (to righteousness).
அவர்களை நாம் பூமியில் பல பிரிவினராகச் (சிதறித்திரியுமாறு) ஆக்கி விட்டோம்; அவர்களில் நல்லவர்களுமிருக்கின்றார்கள். அதுவல்லாத கெட்டவர்களும் இருக்கின்றார்கள் - அவர்கள் (நன்மையின் பால்) திரும்பும் பொருட்டு அவர்களை நன்மைகளைக் கொண்டும், தீமைகளைக் கொண்டும் சோதித்தோம்.

so we seized each for their sin. we let loose upon some a violent tornado with showers of stones; some were overtaken by a mighty cry; some were caused to be swallowed up by the earth, and some we drowned. allah would not wrong them, but it is they who wronged themselves.
இவ்வாறு, நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அவரவர் செய்த பாவத்தின் காரணமாகப் பிடித்தோம்; அவர்களில் சிலர் மீது கடும்புயல் மூலமாக கல்மாரியை அனுப்பினோம்; அவர்களில் சிலரை பேரிடி முழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது அவர்களில் சிலரைப் பூமியினுள் அழுந்தச் செய்தோம்; அவர்களில் சிலரை மூழ்கடித்தோம்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு அநியாயம் செய்வதற்காக இருக்க வில்லை அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டார்கள்.

and we have broken them (i.e. the jews) up into various separate groups on the earth, some of them are righteous and some are away from that. and we tried them with good (blessings) and evil (calamities) in order that they might turn (to allah's obedience).
