except for those who believe and do good deeds and exhort one another to hold fast to the truth, and who exhort one another to stead-fastness.
ஆயினும், எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்து, சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து, மேலும் பொறுமையைக் கொண்டும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களைத் தவிர (அவர்கள் நஷ்டத்திலில்லை).

if he will, he can remove you, o people, and produce others (in your stead). allah is able to do that.

நீங்கள் (அவ்வாறு புறப்பட்டுச்) செல்லவில்லையானால், (அல்லாஹ்) உங்களுக்கு நோவினை மிக்க வேதனை கொடுப்பான்; நீங்கள் அல்லாத வேறு சமூகத்தை மாற்றி (உங்களிடத்தில் அமைத்து) விடுவான். நீங்கள் அவனுக்கு யாதொரு தீங்கும் செய்ய முடியாது - அல்லாஹ் எல்லாப் பொருட்கள் மீதும் பேராற்றல் உடையோனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

they said, “o governor! he has a very aged father, so take one of us in his stead; indeed we witness your favours.”
அவர்கள் (யூஸுஃபை நோக்கி), (இந்நாட்டின் அதிபதி) அஜீஸே! நிச்சயமாக இவருக்கு முதிர்ச்சியடைந்துள்ள வயோதிகத் தந்தை இருக்கிறார். எனவே அவருடைய இடத்தில் எங்களில் ஒருவரை நீர் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும், நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உம்மைப் பரோபகாரம் செய்வோரில் ஒருவராகவே காண்கிறோம்' என்று கூறினார்கள்.

they said: o chief! he has a father, a very old man, therefore retain one of us in his stead; surely we see you to be of the doers of good.

and o dear prophet (mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), your lord is the perfect (not needing anything), the merciful; o people! if he wills, he can remove you and bring others in your stead – the way he created you from the descendants of others.
உம் இறைவன் தேவைகளற்றவன்; மிக்க கருணையுடையவன் - அவன் நாடினால் உங்களைபோக்கி உங்களுக்கு பிறகு, உங்களை அவன் இதர மக்களின் சந்ததியிலிருந்து உற்பத்தி செய்தது போன்றே - தான் நாடியவரை உங்களுக்கு பதிலாக ஆக்கி விடுவான்.
