o followers of the book! why do you confound the truth with the falsehood and hide the truth while you know?

اور اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھے حالانکہ اسے اسلام کی طرف بلایا جا رہا ہو، اور اللہ ظالم لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں فرماتا،
and who does greater evil than he who forges a lie against allah, when he is being called to islam? allah does not guide the harmdoing people.

اور اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون ہو گا جو الله پربہتان باندھے یا یہ کہے کہ مجھ پر وحی نازل ہوئی ہے حالانکہ اس پر وحی نہ اتری ہو اور جو کہے میں بھی ایسی چیز اتار سکتا ہوں جیسی کہ الله نے اتاری ہے اور اگر تو دیکھے جس وقت ظالم موت کی سختیوں میں ہوں گے اور فرشتے اپنے ہاتھ بڑھانے والےہوں گے کہ اپنی جانوں کو نکالو آج تمہیں ذلت کا عذاب ملے گا اس سبب سے کہ تم الله پر جھوٹی باتیں کہتے تھے اور اس کی آیتوں کے ماننے سے تکبر کرتے تھے
and who can be more unjust than he who invents a lie against allah, or says: "i have received inspiration," whereas he is not inspired in anything; and who says, "i will reveal the like of what allah has revealed." and if you could but see when the zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): "deliver your souls! this day you shall be recompensed with the torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against allah other than the truth. and you used to reject his ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) with disrespect!"
