ke zonke izinto ezingenamaphiko namaxolo ezilwandleni nasemilanjeni, enyakanyakeni yonke esemanzini, nasezintweni eziphilileyo ezisemanzini,
and all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

these shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

xa uthi uwele emanzini, ndoba nawe: nasemilanjeni, ayisayi kukuntywilisela; xa uthi uhambe emlilweni, akuyi kurhawuka, nelangatye lingakutshisi.
when thou passest through the waters, i will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
