ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በፊት መጽሐፍን ሰጠናቸውን ? ስለዚህ እነርሱ እርሱን የጨበጡ ናቸውን ?

did we give them a book before this , so that they are holding fast to it ?
ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በፊት መጽሐፍን ሰጠናቸውን ? ስለዚህ እነርሱ እርሱን የጨበጡ ናቸውን ?

have we vouchsafed unto them any book before this , so that they are to it holding fast ?
ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በፊት መጽሐፍን ሰጠናቸውን ? ስለዚህ እነርሱ እርሱን የጨበጡ ናቸውን ?

so , hold fast to the book that has been revealed to you , you are surely on the right path ,
ያንንም ወደ አንተ የተወረደልህን አጥብቀህ ያዝ ፡ ፡ አንተ በቀጥተኛው መንገድ ላይ ነህና ፡ ፡

as for those who hold fast to the book and are steadfast in prayer , we do not waste the wage of the righteous .
እነዚያም መጽሐፉን ጠብቀው የሚይዙ ሶላትንም በደንቡ የሰገዱ እኛ የመልካም ሠሪዎችን ዋጋ አናጠፋም ፡ ፡

( and it was said unto his son ) : o john ! hold fast the scripture .
« የሕያ ሆይ ! መጽሐፉን በጥብቅ ያዝ ! » ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡ ጥበብንም በሕፃንነቱ ሰጠነው ፡ ፡

[ prophet ] , do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation :
በእርሱ ( በቁርኣን ንባብ ) ልትቸኩል ምላስህን በእርሱ አታላውስ ፡ ፡

and those who hold fast to the book , and have kept the prayer established ; and we do not waste the wages of the righteous .
እነዚያም መጽሐፉን ጠብቀው የሚይዙ ሶላትንም በደንቡ የሰገዱ እኛ የመልካም ሠሪዎችን ዋጋ አናጠፋም ፡ ፡

and we subjected the fast wind for sulaiman , which moved by his command towards the land in which we have placed blessings ; and we know everything .
ለሱለይማንም ነፋስን በኀይል የምትነፍስ በትዕዛዙ ወደዚያች በእርሷ ውስጥ በረከትን ወደ አደረግንባት ምድር ( ወደ ሻም ) የምትፈስ ስትኾን ( ገራንለት ) ፡ ፡ በነገሩ ሁሉም ዐዋቂዎች ነበርን ፡ ፡

( it was said to his son ) : " o yahya ( john ) ! hold fast the scripture [ the taurat ( torah ) ] . "
