the project work is on the study of flexural characteristics of textile reinforced mortar (trm) on rc beams with the use of two different types of textile fiber such as carbon textile fiber and basalt textile fiber that are overlaid on the tension zone separately by varying the number of layers of textile fibers. both organic and inorganic adhesives are to be used for bonding textile overlays to the rc beams. the fine grained cementitious binder used in trm itself is used as the inorganic binder whereas epoxy resin is used as the organic binder. the numbers of layers used in overlays have to be varied to determine its reinforcing efficiency towards enhancing the load carrying ability. experimental investigations will be carried out on strengthened beams using various textile reinforced fibers under flexure and their performance and results will be examined
