(அதற்கு) அவர், "என் இறைவனே! இவர்கள் என்னை எதன் பக்கம் அழைக்கிறார்களோ, அ(த்தீய)தை விடச் சிறைக்கூடமே எனக்கு அதிக விருப்பமுடையதாகும்; இவர்களின் சதியை விட்டு நீ என்னைக் காப்பாற்றவில்லையானால், நான் இவர்கள் பால் சாய்ந்து (பாவத்தால்) அறிவில்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவனாகிவிடுவேன்" என்று (பிரார்த்தித்தவராக) கூறினார்.

(நபியே!) என் அடியார்கள் என்னைப்பற்றி உம்மிடம் கேட்டால்; "நிச்சயமாக நான் சமீபமாகவே இருக்கிறேன், பிரார்த்தனை செய்பவரின் பிரார்த்தனைக்கு அவர் பிரார்த்தித்தால் விடையளிக்கிறேன்;, அவர்கள் என்னிடமே(பிரார்த்தித்துக்) கேட்கட்டும்;, என்னை நம்பட்டும். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் நேர்வழியை அடைவார்கள்" என்று கூறுவீராக.

(இதனையறிந்த) மூஸா தன் சமூகத்தாரிடம் கோபத்துடன், விசனத்துடன் திரும்பி வந்த போது; (அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நான் இல்லாத சமயத்தில் நீங்கள் செய்த இக்காரியம் மிகவும் கெட்டது உங்கள் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளை (வேதனை)யைக் (கொண்டு வர) அவசரப்படுகிறீர்களா?" என்று கூறினார்; பின்னர் வேதம் வரையப் (பெற்றிருந்த) பலகைகளை எறிந்து விட்டு, தம் சதோதரர் (ஹாரூன்) உடைய தலை(முடி)யைப் பிடித்துத் தம் பக்கம் இழுத்தார். அப்போது (ஹாரூன்) "என் தாயின் மகனே! இந்த மக்கள் என்னை பலஹீனப்படுத்தி என்னை கொலை செய்யவும் முற்பட்டனர். ஆகவே (என்னுடைய) "பகைவர்களுக்கு என்மூலம் மகிழ்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தி விடாதீர்" இன்னும் என்னை அநியாயக் காரக் கூட்டத்தாருடன் சேர்த்துவிடாதீர்" என்று கூறினார்.
