surely we ourselves have revealed the quran to you revealing (it) in portions.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ މައްޗަށް قرآن ވަކިވަކިކޮށް ބާވައިލެއްވީމެވެ.

in revealing this quran to you, we tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware.
އެންމެ ރިވެތި ވާހަކަތައް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކިޔައިދެއްވަމެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް މި قرآن وحى ކުރެއްވި ކުރެއްވުމުންނެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެ ވާހަކަތައް ނުދަންނަ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވީނަމަވެހެވެ.

so has god, all-mighty and all-wise, been revealing to you and to others before you.
ކަލޭގެފާނަށާއި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރީގެ رسول ންނަށް، عزيز ވަންތަ، حكيم ވަންތަ اللَّه وحى ކުރައްވަނީ އެފަދައިންނެވެ.

we narrate to you the best of narratives, by our revealing to you this quran, though before this you were certainly one of those who did not know.
އެންމެ ރިވެތި ވާހަކަތައް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކިޔައިދެއްވަމެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް މި قرآن وحى ކުރެއްވި ކުރެއްވުމުންނެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެ ވާހަކަތައް ނުދަންނަ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވީނަމަވެހެވެ.

and it is a quran which we have revealed in portions so that you may read it to the people by slow degrees, and we have revealed it, revealing in portions.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނު މީސްތަކުންނަށް (ވިސްނޭނެހެން) ލަސްލަހުން ކިޔަވައި ވިދާޅުވެދެއްވުމަށްޓަކައި، ވަކިވަކިކޮށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ قرآن ބާވައިލެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ قرآن އެކިފަހަރުމަތިން ބާވައިލެއްވީމެވެ.

we! we recount unto thee the best of stories, by revealing unto thee this our'an, although thou wast before that of the unaware ones.
އެންމެ ރިވެތި ވާހަކަތައް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކިޔައިދެއްވަމެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް މި قرآن وحى ކުރެއްވި ކުރެއްވުމުންނެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެ ވާހަކަތައް ނުދަންނަ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވީނަމަވެހެވެ.

there is no blame on elderly women who are past the age of marriage, if they take off their outer clothing, without revealing their adornments. but it would be better for them to guard themselves.
ކާވެންޏަކަށް އެދުންނުވާ، މުސްކުޅި އަންހެނުން، ޒީނަތްތެރިކަން ފާޅުނުކުރާގޮތުގައި، އެކަނބަލުންގެ ފޭރާން ލުއިކޮށްލުމަކުން، އެކަނބަލުންގެ މައްޗަކަށް ކުށެއް ނެތެވެ. (ނަމަވެސް) އެކަނބަލުން عفة ތެރިވުން އެކަނބަލުންނަށް ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ. اللَّه އީ، މޮޅަށް އައްސަވާވޮޑިގެންވާ، މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and it is not for any mortal that allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a veil, or by sending a messenger and revealing by his permission what he pleases; surely he is high, wise.
وحى އަކުން (އެބަހީ: إلهام އަކުން، ނުވަތަ ހުވަފެނަކުން) ނުވަތަ ފަރުދާއެއްގެ އަނެއްފަރާތުން، ނުވަތަ ملائكة އަކު ފޮނުއްވައި، އެކަލާނގެ إذن ފުޅާއެކު، އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ އެއްޗެއް وحى ކުރެއްވުމުންމެނުވީ، އެއްވެސް آدم ގެދަރިޔަކަށް اللَّه ބަސް وحى ކުރެއްވުމެއް ނުވެތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލާނގެއީ، މަތިވެރިވަންތަ، حكيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

(o muhammad), by revealing the qur'an to you we narrate to you in the best manner the stories of the past although before this narration you were utterly unaware of them.
އެންމެ ރިވެތި ވާހަކަތައް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ކިޔައިދެއްވަމެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް މި قرآن وحى ކުރެއްވި ކުރެއްވުމުންނެވެ. އޭގެކުރިން، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެ ވާހަކަތައް ނުދަންނަ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ވީނަމަވެހެވެ.

and this noble qur’an is not such that anyone can invent it, without allah revealing it – but it surely is a confirmation of the books preceding it and is an explanation of all that is written on the (preserved) tablet – there is no doubt in it – it is from the lord of the creation.
اللَّه ނޫންފަރާތަކުން ހަދައިގެން ގެންނަ އެއްޗަކަށް މި قرآن ނުވެއެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު (އެ قرآن ބާވައިލެއްވީ) އޭގެކުރީގައިވާ ފޮތްތައް ތެދުކުރުމަށާއި، ފޮތުގައިވާ حكم ތައް تفصيل ކޮށްދެއްވުމަށެވެ. އެ ފޮތާމެދު شك އެއް ނެތެވެ. (އެ ފޮތް ބާވައިލެއްވީ) عالم ތަކުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ންނެވެ.
