what shall we say then that abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
ܡܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܡܪܝܢܢ ܥܠ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܪܫܐ ܕܐܒܗܬܐ ܕܐܫܟܚ ܒܒܤܪ

if then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

ܟܠ ܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܗܘܐ ܚܠܦ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܩܐܡ ܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܢܩܪܒ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܘܕܒܚܐ ܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ

to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of god:
ܗܢܘܢ ܕܐܦ ܚܘܝ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܦܫܗ ܟܕ ܚܝ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܚܫ ܒܐܬܘܬܐ ܤܓܝܐܬܐ ܒܝܘܡܝܢ ܐܪܒܥܝܢ ܟܕ ܡܬܚܙܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܥܠ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ

which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
