and by the passing night ,
በሌሊቱም በሚኼድ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

all that is on the earth is passing ,
በእርሷ ( በምድር ) ላይ ያለው ሁሉ ጠፊ ነው ፡ ፡

and they passing by mysia came down to troas.
በሚስያም አጠገብ አልፈው ወደ ጢሮአዳ ወረዱ።

when passing by them , they would wink at one another
በእነርሱም ላይ ባለፉ ጊዜ ይጠቃቀሱ ነበር ፡ ፡

but he passing through the midst of them went his way,
እርሱ ግን በመካከላቸው አልፎ ሄደ።

and the mountains shall pass away passing away ( altogether ) .
ተራራዎችም መኼድን በሚኼዱበት ( ቀን ) ፡ ፡

passing around them are vessels of silver , and cups of crystal .
በእነርሱም ላይ ከብር በኾኑ ዕቃዎች ( ሰሐኖች ) የብርጭቆዎች በኾኑ ኩባያዎችም ይዝዞርባቸዋል ፡ ፡

and if they see a miracle , they turn away and say , " passing magic . "
ተዓምርንም ቢያዩ ( ከእምነት ) ይዞራሉ ፡ ፡ ( ይህ ) « ዘውታሪ ድግምት ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

a passing brief enjoyment ( will be theirs ) , but they will have a painful torment .
ጥቂት መጣቀም አላቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም አሳማሚ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡

god commands you to return that which had been entrusted to you to the rightful owners . be just when passing judgment among people .
አላህ አደራዎችን ወደ ባለቤቶቻቸው እንድታደርሱ ያዛችኋል ፡ ፡ በሰዎችም መካከል በፈረዳችሁ ጊዜ በትክክል እንድትፈርዱ ( ያዛችኋል ) ፡ ፡ አላህ በርሱ የሚገሥጻችሁ ነገር ምን ያምር ! አላህ ሰሚ ተመልካች ነው ፡ ፡

o my people , surely this present life is but a passing enjoyment ; surely the world to come is the abode of stability .
« ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! ይህቺ ቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ( ጥቂት ) መጣቀሚያ ብቻ ናት ፡ ፡ መጨረሻይቱም ዓለም እርሷ መርጊያ አገር ናት ፡ ፡ »

insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
ስለዚህም ጴጥሮስ ሲያልፍ ጥላውም ቢሆን ከእነርሱ አንዱን ይጋርድ ዘንድ ድውያንን ወደ አደባባይ አውጥተው በአልጋና በወሰካ ያኖሩአቸው ነበር።

now whatever ye have been given is but a passing comfort for the life of the world , and that which allah hath is better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their lord ,
ከምንም ነገር የተሰጣችሁት የቅርቢቱ ሕይወት መጠቀሚያ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ዘንድ ያለውም ምንዳ ለእነዚያ ለአመኑትና በጌታቸው ላይ ለሚጠጉት በላጭና ሁል ጊዜ ነዋሪ ነው ፡ ፡

and thou shalt see the mountains thou deemest solid passing away as the passing away of the clouds : the handiwork of allah who hath perfected everything . verily he is aware of all that ye do .
ጋራዎችንም እርሷ እንደ ደመና አስተላለፍ የምታልፍ ስትኾን የቆመች ናት ብለህ የምታስባት ሆና ታያታለህ ፡ ፡ የዚያን ነገሩን ሁሉ ያጠነከረውን የአላህን ጥበብ ( ተመልከት ) ፡ ፡ እርሱ በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጥ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

allah gives abundantly and sparingly to whom he will . they rejoice in this present life ; but this present life , beside the everlasting life , is nothing but a passing enjoyment .
አላህ ለሚሻው ሰው ሲሳይን ያሰፋል ፤ ያጠባልም ፡ ፡ ( ከሓዲዎች ) በቅርቢቱም ሕይወት ተደሰቱ ፡ ፡ የቅርቢቱም ሕይወት በመጨረሻይቱ አንጻር ( ትንሽ ) መጠቀሚያ እንጂ ምንም አይደለችም ፡ ፡

allah enlargeth the provision for whomsoever he willeth and , stinteth . and they exult in the life of the world , whereas the life of the world , by the side of the hereafter , is only a passing enjoyment .
አላህ ለሚሻው ሰው ሲሳይን ያሰፋል ፤ ያጠባልም ፡ ፡ ( ከሓዲዎች ) በቅርቢቱም ሕይወት ተደሰቱ ፡ ፡ የቅርቢቱም ሕይወት በመጨረሻይቱ አንጻር ( ትንሽ ) መጠቀሚያ እንጂ ምንም አይደለችም ፡ ፡

( saying ) : peace be unto you because ye persevered . ah , passing sweet will be the sequel of the ( heavenly ) home .
« ሰላም ለእናንተ ይኹን ፡ ፡ ( ይህ ምንዳ ) በመታገሳችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ የመጨረሻይቱም አገር ምን ታምር ! » ( ይሏቸዋል ) ፡ ፡

" o my people ! truly , this life of the world is nothing but a ( quick passing ) enjoyment , and verily , the hereafter that is the home that will remain forever . "
« ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! ይህቺ ቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ( ጥቂት ) መጣቀሚያ ብቻ ናት ፡ ፡ መጨረሻይቱም ዓለም እርሷ መርጊያ አገር ናት ፡ ፡ »
