እናንተ ከደመናው አወረዳችሁትን ? ወይስ እኛ አውራጆቹ ነን ?

እውነተኞች እንደ ኾናችሁ ( ነፍሲቱን ወደ አካሉ ) ለምን አትመልሷትም ፡ ፡

የድሎት ባለቤቶችም ከኾኑት አስተባባዮች ጋር ተዎኝ ፡ ፡ ጥቂትንም ጊዜ አቆያቸው ፡ ፡

ask them , " do you think that you can rescue me from the punishment of god with which he may afflict me ? can you prevent his mercy if he wants to grant it to me ? "
ሰማያትንና ምድርን የፈጠረ ማን እንደ ኾነ ብትጠይቃቸው « አላህ ነው » ይሉሃል ፡ ፡ « ከአላህ ሌላ የምትግገዟቸውን ( ጣዖታት ) አያችሁን ? ( ንገሩኝ ) አላህ በጉዳት ቢፈልገኝ እነርሱ ጉዳቱን ገላጮች ናቸውን ? ወይስ በችሮታው ቢፈቅደኝ እነርሱ ችሮታውን አጋጆች ናቸውን ? » በላቸው ፡ ፡ « አላህ በቂዬ ነው ፡ ፡ በእርሱ ላይ ተመኪዎች ይመካሉ » በል ፡ ፡

verily this my brother hath nine and ninety ewes while i have one ewe ; and he saith : entrust it to me , and he hath prevailed upon me in speech .
« ይህ ወንድሜ ነው ፤ ለእርሱ ዘጠና ዘጠኝ ሴቶች በጎች አሉት ፡ ፡ ለኔም አንዲት ሴት በግ አለችኝ ፡ ፡ እርሷንም ዕድሌ አድርጋት አለኝ ፡ ፡ በንግግርም አሸነፈኝ » አለው ፡ ፡

lo ! this my brother hath ninety and nine ewes while i had one ewe ; and he said : entrust it to me , and he conquered me in speech .
« ይህ ወንድሜ ነው ፤ ለእርሱ ዘጠና ዘጠኝ ሴቶች በጎች አሉት ፡ ፡ ለኔም አንዲት ሴት በግ አለችኝ ፡ ፡ እርሷንም ዕድሌ አድርጋት አለኝ ፡ ፡ በንግግርም አሸነፈኝ » አለው ፡ ፡

say , " if god had so wished , i would not have recited it to you , nor would he have brought it to your knowledge . indeed , i have spent a whole lifetime among you before it came to me .
አላህ በሻ ኖሮ በእናንተ ላይ ባለነበብኩትም ( አላህ ) እርሱን ባላሳወቃችሁም ነበር ፡ ፡ በእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ በፊት ( ምንም ሳልል ) ብዙን ዕድሜ በእርግጥ ኖሬአለሁ ፤ አታውቁምን

and he raised his parents upon the throne and they fell down in prostration before him , and he said : o my father ! this is the significance of my vision of old ; my lord has indeed made it to be true ; and he was indeed kind to me when he brought me forth from the prison and brought you from the desert after the shaitan had sown dissensions between me and my brothers , surely my lord is benignant to whom he pleases ; surely he is the knowing , the wise .
ወላጆቹንም በዙፋኑ ላይ አወጣቸው ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም ሰጋጆች ኾነው ወረዱለት ፡ ፡ « አባቴም ሆይ ! ይህ ፊት ያየኋት ሕልሜ ፍች ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታ በእርግጥ እውነት አደረጋት ፡ ፡ ከወህኒ ቤትም ባወጣኝና ሰይጣንም በእኔና በወንድሞቼ መካከል ከአበላሸ በኋላ እናንተን ከገጠር ባመጣችሁ ጊዜ በእርግጥ ለኔ መልካም ዋለልኝ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ለሚሻው ነገር እዝነቱ ረቂቅ ነው ፡ ፡ እነሆ እሱ ዐዋቂው ጥበበኛው ነው » አለ ፡ ፡
