a positive independent assessment of this grant was submitted in 2006. since then the grant work has evolved and improved as a result of losing a grant from the wales council, for voluntary action and the funding given to the development fund. this grant continues to be the board's main work in promoting bilingualism in the third sector. we feel the grant is vital to the success of the board's voluntary sector strategy. as the board moves towards the third year of implementation of that strategy we will look in detail at the work of this grant as part of the process of evaluating our work. we therefore recommend that a grant be offered to estyn llaw, with a view, perhaps, to agreeing new targets as a result of our monitoring work. the aim of the monitoring work would be to offer more detailed data to the board regarding the work carried out under the grant, its outputs and results.
cyflwynwyd asesiad annibynnol cadarnhaol o'r grant hwn yn 2006. ers hynny mae gwaith y grant wedi esblygu a gwella ac yn sgil colli grant cyngor gweithredu gwirfoddol cymru, a'r arian roddwyd i'r gronfa ddatblygu. mae'r grant hwn yn parhau i fod yn brif waith y bwrdd i hybu dwyieithrwydd yn y trydydd sector. teimlwn fod y grant yn allweddol i lwyddiant strategaeth sector gwirfoddol y bwrdd. wrth i'r bwrdd symud at drydedd blwyddyn gweithredu'r strategaeth honno byddwn yn edrych yn fanwl ar waith y grant hwn fel rhan o broses gwerthuso ein gwaith. argymhellwn, felly, gynnig grant i estyn llaw, gydag golwg, o bosib, ar gytuno targedau newydd yn sgil ein gwaith monitro. nod y gwaith monitro fyddai cynnig data manylach i'r bwrdd am y gwaith a wneir o dan y grant, ei allbynnau a’i ganlyniadau.
