ויאמרו האדון צריך לו׃
and they said, the lord hath need of him.

ויאמרו השמעים ומי יוכל להושע׃
and they that heard it said, who then can be saved?

ויאמרו אליו איו ויאמר לא ידעתי׃
then said they unto him, where is he? he said, i know not.

ויאמרו אליהם כאשר צום ישוע ויניחו להם׃
and they said unto them even as jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

ויאמרו איש אל אחיו נתנה ראש ונשובה מצרימה׃
and they said one to another, let us make a captain, and let us return into egypt.

ישמחו השמים ותגל הארץ ויאמרו בגוים יהוה מלך׃
let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, the lord reigneth.

ויאמרו לו בבית לחם יהודה כי כן כתוב ביד הנביא׃
and they said unto him, in bethlehem of judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

ויחרפו אתו ויאמרו אתה תלמידו ואנחנו תלמידיו של משה׃
then they reviled him, and said, thou art his disciple; but we are moses' disciples.

ויאמרו החיתנו נמצא חן בעיני אדני והיינו עבדים לפרעה׃
and they said, thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be pharaoh's servants.

ויאמרו נערי המלך משרתיו יבקשו למלך נערות בתולות טובות מראה׃
then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:

ויאמרו אליה משגעת את והיא מתאמצת כי כן הוא ויאמרו מלאכו הוא׃
and they said unto her, thou art mad. but she constantly affirmed that it was even so. then said they, it is his angel.

וירא כל העם ויפלו על פניהם ויאמרו יהוה הוא האלהים יהוה הוא האלהים׃
and when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, the lord, he is the god; the lord, he is the god.
