wer jedoch ein update riskiert hat, merkt schnell, daß sein newssystem nicht mehr so reibungslos funktioniert wie vorher.
an update does not sound very complicated but if you risk to install the new version you will see that the news system does not function any longer like before.

es bleibt noch das erstellen der newsgroups. hierzu sowie für fast alle anderen Änderungen am newssystem wird nur das eine kommando ctlinnd verwendet.

allerdings sollte man die default-zeiten (insbesondere für fido) möglichst nicht weiter verkürzen, da die messages meist lange unterwegs sind und ansonsten gar nicht erst ins newssystem eingestellt werden, sondern direkt expiren.
but you shouldn't decrease the default-times (especially for fido) too much, as the messages take a long time to your system and so might expire immeadiately.
