leah was tender eyed; but rachel was beautiful and well favoured.
Լիայի տեսողութիւնը թոյլ էր, իսկ Ռաքէլը բարեկազմ էր ու դէմքով գեղեցիկ:

and jacob kissed rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
Յակոբը համբուրեց Ռաքէլին ու բարձրաձայն լաց եղաւ:

and god remembered rachel, and god hearkened to her, and opened her womb.
Աստուած յիշեց Ռաքէլին, անսաց նրան եւ բեղմնաւոր դարձրեց նրա արգանդը:

and rachel died, and was buried in the way to ephrath, which is bethlehem.
Մեռաւ Ռաքէլն ու թաղուեց Եփրաթայի՝ նոյն ինքը Բեթղեհէմի ճանապարհի վրայ:

and bilhah rachel's maid conceived again, and bare jacob a second son.
Դարձեալ յղիացաւ Ռաքէլի նաժիշտ Բալլան եւ երկրորդ որդի ծնեց Յակոբի համար:

and jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him rachel his daughter to wife also.
Յակոբն այդպէս էլ արեց. նա եօթը տարի եւս ծառայեց սրա համար, եւ Լաբանն իր դուստր Ռաքէլին կնութեան տուեց նրան:

and laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was leah, and the name of the younger was rachel.
Լաբանն ունէր երկու դուստր: Աւագի անունը Լիա էր, իսկ կրտսերինը՝ Ռաքէլ:

and he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and leah and her children after, and rachel and joseph hindermost.
Նա երկու աղախիններին ու նրանց որդիներին ուղարկեց առջեւից, Լիային ու նրա որդիներին՝ նրանցից յետոյ, իսկ Ռաքէլին ու Յովսէփին՝ ամենավերջում:

and jacob served seven years for rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.
Յակոբը Ռաքէլի համար ծառայեց եօթը տարի, բայց նրա աչքին այդ տարիները օրեր թուացին, որովհետեւ սիրում էր նրան:

and leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came joseph near and rachel, and they bowed themselves.
Մօտեցան նաեւ Լիան ու իր որդիները եւ խոնարհուեցին նրա առաջ: Յետոյ մօտեցան Յովսէփն ու Ռաքէլը եւ խոնարհուեցին նրա առաջ:

and rachel said, god hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name dan.
Ռաքէլն ասաց. «Աստուած ինձ արդար դատեց, լսեց իմ ձայնը եւ ինձ որդի պարգեւեց»: Դրա համար էլ նրա անունը դրեց Դան:

and it came to pass, when rachel had born joseph, that jacob said unto laban, send me away, that i may go unto mine own place, and to my country.
Երբ Ռաքէլը ծնեց Յովսէփին, Յակոբն ասաց Լաբանին. «Ինձ թո՛յլ տուր, որ գնամ իմ բնակավայրն ու իմ երկիրը:

and he said unto them, is he well? and they said, he is well: and, behold, rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.
Նա հարցրեց նրանց. «Նա ողջ-առո՞ղջ է»: Նրանք պատասխանեցին. «Ողջ-առողջ է»: Հէնց այդ պահին նրա դուստր Ռաքէլը գալիս էր ոչխարների հետ:

in rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Ռաքէլը լալիս էր իր զաւակների վրայ եւ չէր ուզում մխիթարուել, քանի որ նրանք այլեւս չկային:

and jacob's anger was kindled against rachel: and he said, am i in god's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?
Բարկացաւ Յակոբը Ռաքէլի վրայ ու ասաց նրան. «Մի՞թէ Աստծու փոխարինողն եմ ես, որ զրկել է քեզ ծննդաբերելուց»:

and as for me, when i came from padan, rachel died by me in the land of canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto ephrath: and i buried her there in the way of ephrath; the same is bethlehem.
Երբ ես գալիս էի Ասորիների Միջագետքից ու մի ասպարէզի չափ մօտեցել էի Քաբրաթա երկրին, Քանանացիների երկրում մեռաւ քո մայր Ռաքէլը: Ես նրան թաղեցի ճանապարհին, Եփրաթա չհասած. դա Բեթղեհէմն է»:
