so taste my punishment and warning .
« ቅጣቴንና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼንም ቅመሱ » ( ተባሉ ) ፡ ፡

how terrible was my punishment and warning .
ቅጣቴና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼም እንዴት ነበሩ ?

and how [ severe ] were my punishment and warning .
ቅጣቴና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼም እንዴት ነበሩ ?

we have sent thee not , except good tidings to bear , and warning .
አብሳሪና አስፈራሪም አድርገን እንጂ አልላክንህም ፡ ፡

surely we have sent thee as a witness , good tidings to bear , and warning ,
እኛ መስካሪ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪም አድርገን በእርግጥ ላክንህ ፡ ፡

o prophet , we have sent thee as a witness , and good tidings to bear and warning ,
አንተ ነቢዩ ሆይ ! እኛ መስካሪ ፣ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪም አድርገን ላክንህ ፡ ፡

' aad denied ; and how [ severe ] were my punishment and warning .
ዓድ አስተባበለች ፡ ፡ ቅጣቴና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼም እንዴት ነበሩ !

and whom we made an example for the people ( of the day ) and those after them , and warning for those who fear god .
( ቅጣቲቱንም ) ለነዚያ በስተፊትዋ ለነበሩትና ለነዚያም ከበኋላዋ ላሉት ( ሕዝቦች ) መቀጣጫ ለፈራህያንም መገሰጫ አደረግናት ፡ ፡

we have sent you ( prophet muhammad ) as a witness and as a bearer of glad tidings and warning ,
እኛ መስካሪ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪም አድርገን በእርግጥ ላክንህ ፡ ፡

and there belied the ' a-ad ; so how dreadful have been my torment and warning !
ዓድ አስተባበለች ፡ ፡ ቅጣቴና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼም እንዴት ነበሩ !

o herald of the hidden ! we have indeed sent you as an observing present witness and a herald of glad tidings and warning .
አንተ ነቢዩ ሆይ ! እኛ መስካሪ ፣ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪም አድርገን ላክንህ ፡ ፡

we have sent thee not , except to mankind entire , good tidings to bear , and warning ; but most men do not know it .
አንተንም ለሰዎች ሁሉ በመላ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪ አድርገን ቢሆን እንጂ አላክንህም ፡ ፡ ግን አብዛኞቹ ሰዎች አያውቁም ፡ ፡

and we do not send apostles but as givers of good news and warning , and those who disbelieve make a false contention that they may render null thereby the truth , and they take my communications and that with which they are warned for a mockery .
መልክተኞችንም አብሳሪዎችና አስፈራሪዎች ኾነው እንጂ አንልክም ፡ ፡ እነዚያ የካዱትም በውሸት እውነቱን በእሱ ሊያበላሹ ይከራከራሉ ፡ ፡ አንቀጾቼንና በእርሱ የተስፈራሩበትንም ነገር ማላገጫ አድርገው ያዙ ፡ ፡

and warnings came in truth unto the house of pharaoh
የፈርዖንንም ቤተሰቦች ማስጠንቀቂያዎች በእርግጥ መጡዋቸው ፡ ፡

with the truth we have sent it down , and with the truth it has come down ; and we have sent thee not , except good tidings to bear , and warning ;
( ቁርኣንን ) በውነትም አወረድነው ፡ ፡ በእውነትም ወረደ ፡ ፡ አንተንም አብሳሪና አስጠንቃቂ አድርገን እንጂ አልላክንህም ፡ ፡

it contains glad news and warnings ( for the people ) , but most of them have ignored it and do not listen .
አብሳሪና አስፈራሪ ሲኾን ( ተወረደ ) ፡ ፡ አብዛኛዎቻቸውም ተዉት ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አይሰሙም ፡ ፡

and they had demanded from him his guests , but we obliterated their eyes , [ saying ] , " taste my punishment and warning . "
ከእንግዶቹም እንዲያስመቻቸው ደጋግመው ፈለጉት ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም ዓይኖቻቸውን አበስን ፡ ፡ « ቅጣቴንና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼንም ቅመሱ » ( አልናቸው ) ፡ ፡

say , “ look at what is in the heavens and the earth . ” but signs and warnings are of no avail for people who do not believe .
« በሰማያትና በምድር ያለውን ( ተዓምር ) ተመልከቱ » በላቸው ፡ ፡ ተዓምራቶችና አስፈራሪዎችም ለማያምኑ ሕዝቦች አይጠቅሙም ፡ ፡

and we sent down the qur an ’ with the truth , and it has come down only for the truth ; and we did not send you except as a herald of glad tidings and warnings .
( ቁርኣንን ) በውነትም አወረድነው ፡ ፡ በእውነትም ወረደ ፡ ፡ አንተንም አብሳሪና አስጠንቃቂ አድርገን እንጂ አልላክንህም ፡ ፡

did there not come to you apostles from yourselves , recounting to you my signs and warning you of the encounter of this day ? ’ they will say , ‘ we testify against ourselves . ’
የጋኔንና የሰዎች ጭፍሮች ሆይ ! ፡ - « አንቀጾቼን በእናንተ ላይ የሚተርኩ የዚህንም ቀናችሁን ( ቅጣት ) ማግኘትን የሚያስፈራሩዋችሁ ከእናንተው የኾኑ መልክተኞች አልመጧችሁምን » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡ « በነፍሶቻችን ላይ መሰከርን ፤ ( መጥተውልናል ) » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ የቅርቢቱም ሕይወት አታለለቻቸው ፡ ፡ በነፍሶቻቸውም ላይ እነርሱ ከሓዲዎች የነበሩ መኾናቸውን መሰከሩ ፡ ፡
