i have been doing
እኔ ነኝ

concerning what they have been doing .
ይሠሩት ከነበሩት ነገር ሁሉ ፡ ፡

he said , ' what knowledge have i of that they have been doing ?
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

no . in fact what they have been doing has rusted their hearts .
ይከልከል ፤ ይልቁንም በልቦቻቸው ላይ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ( ኀጢአት ) ደገደገባቸው ፡ ፡

those are the inhabitants of paradise , therein dwelling forever , as a recompense for that they have been doing .
እነዚያ የገነት ጓዶች ናቸው ፡ ፡ በእርሷ ውስጥ ዘውታሪዎች ሲኾኑ ፡ ፡ በዚያ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ምክንያት ታላቅን ምንዳ ( ይምመነዳሉ ) ፡ ፡

they were wont not to desist from the evil they committed ; vile is that which they have been doing !
ከሠሩት መጥፎ ነገር አይከላከሉም ነበር ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በእርግጥ ከፋ !

and ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing ;
ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን እንጂ ሌላን አትመነዱም ፡ ፡

god has made ready for them a chastisement terrible ; surely they -- evil are the things they have been doing .
አላህ ለእነርሱ ብርቱን ቅጣት አዘጋጀ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ሥራ ምንኛ ከፋ !

i have been commanded to be the first to submit . "
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

noah said , " my lord , i have been preaching to my people , night and day ,
( ስለ ተቃወሙትም ) « አለ ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ ሌሊትም ቀንም ሕዝቦቼን ጠራሁ ፡ ፡

he said : " only god has the knowledge . i only convey to you what i have been sent with .
« ዕውቀቱ አላህ ዘንድ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ያን በእርሱ የተላክሁበትንም አደርስላችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ግን እኔ የምትሳሳቱ ሕዝቦች ኾናችሁ አያችኋለሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

and i have been commanded to be the first of those that surrender . '
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

and thou shalt see many of them hastening toward sin and transgression and their devouring of the forbidden . vile indeed is that which they have been doing !
ከእነርሱም ብዙዎቹን በኃጢአትና በበደል እርምንም በመብላታቸው የሚጣደፉ ሲኾኑ ታያለህ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በጣም ከፋ !

for them is an abode of peace with their lord ; and he shall be their patron for that which they have been doing .
ለእነርሱ በጌታቸው ዘንድ የሰላም አገር አላቸው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ( ጌታህ ) ይሠሩት በነበሩት ምክንያት ረዳታቸው ነው ፡ ፡

but they too have forgotten much of what they were enjoined . so , we have put enmity and hatred between them till the day of judgement ; and soon god will declare to them what they have been doing .
ከእነዚያም እኛ ክርስቲያኖች ነን ካሉት የጠበቀ ቃል ኪዳናቸውን ያዝን ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ከታዘዙበት ነገር ፈንታን ተውት ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ በመካከላቸው ጠብንና ጥላቻን ጣልንባቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ይሠሩት የነበሩትን ሁሉ በእርግጥ ይነግራቸዋል ፡ ፡

do not choose other gods besides him . i have been sent from him to plainly warn you " .
ከአላህም ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርጉ ፡ ፡ እኔ ለእናንተ ከእርሱ ( የተላክሁ ) ግልጽ አስፈራሪ ነኝና ፡ ፡

and i have been commanded to be the first [ among you ] of the muslims . "
« የሙስሊሞችም መጀመሪያ እንድኾን ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ »

" he has no partner . and of this i have been commanded , and i am the first of the muslims . "
« ለእርሱ ተጋሪ የለውም ፡ ፡ በዚህም ( በማጥራት ) ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡ እኔም የሙስሊሞች መጀመሪያ ነኝ » ( በል ) ፡ ፡

father , i have been given some knowledge which has not come to you , so follow me : i shall guide you along a straight path .
« አባቴ ሆይ ! እኔ ከዕውቀት ያልመጣልህ ነገር በእርግጥ መጥቶልኛልና ተከተለኝ ፡ ፡ ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ እመራሃለሁና ፡ ፡

and it was revealed unto nuh : verily none of thy people will believe save those that have believed already ; so be not distressed for that which they have been doing .
ወደ ኑሕም እነሆ « ከሕዝቦችህ በእርግጥ ካመኑት በስተቀር ( ወደፊት ) አያምኑም ፡ ፡ ይሠሩትም በነበሩት ( ክህደት ) አትዘን ማለት ተወረደ ፡ ፡ »
