የመገረዝንም ኪዳን ሰጠው፤ እንዲሁም ይስሐቅን ወለደ በስምንተኛውም ቀን ገረዘው ይስሐቅም ያዕቆብን ያዕቆብም አሥራ ሁለቱን የአባቶችን አለቆች።
and he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so abraham begat isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and isaac begat jacob; and jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

የአሥራ ሁለቱም ሐዋርያት ስም ይህ ነው፤ መጀመሪያው ጴጥሮስ የተባለው ስምዖን ወንድሙ እንድርያስም፥ የዘብዴዎስ ልጅ ያዕቆብም ወንድሙ ዮሐንስም፥

simon, (whom he also named peter,) and andrew his brother, james and john, philip and bartholomew,

እኛ ወደ ኑሕና ከርሱ በኋላ ወደ ነበሩት ነቢያት እንዳወረድን ወደ አንተም አወረድን ፡ ፡ ወደ ኢብራሂምም ፣ ወደ ኢስማዒልም ፣ ወደ ኢስሓቅም ፣ ወደ ያዕቆብም ፣ ወደ ነገዶቹም ፣ ወደ ዒሳም ፣ ወደ አዩብም ፣ ወደ ዩኑስም ፣ ወደ ሃሩንና ፣ ወደ ሱለይማንም አወረድን ፡ ፡ ለዳውድም ዘቡርን ሰጠነው ፡ ፡
( muhammad ) , we have sent revelations to you just as were sent to noah and the prophets who lived after him and to abraham , ishmael , isaac , jacob , his descendants , jesus , job , jonah , aaron , and solomon . we gave the psalms to david .
