and joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in egypt.

Մօտենալով Յովսէփի պալատի կառավարիչին՝ նրանք դռան մօտ ասացին նրան.
and they came near to the steward of joseph's house, and they communed with him at the door of the house,

Յովսէփի խօսքերը հաճելի թուացին փարաւոնին ու նրա բոլոր պաշտօնեաներին:
and the thing was good in the eyes of pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

Նրանք առան Յովսէփի պատմուճանը, մի ուլ մորթեցին, պատմուճանը թաթախեցին ուլի արեան մէջ,
and they took joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

Մարդն արեց այնպէս, ինչպէս ասել էր Յովսէփը, եւ մարդկանց տարաւ Յովսէփի տունը:
and the man did as joseph bade; and the man brought the men into joseph's house.

Նրանք եկան Յովսէփի մօտ ու ասացին. «Քո հայրը երբ դեռ չէր մեռել, մեզ երդուեցրել էր
and they sent a messenger unto joseph, saying, thy father did command before he died, saying,

Երբ Իսրայէլը տեսաւ Յովսէփի որդիներին, հարց տուեց. «Սրանք քո ի՞նչն են»:
and israel beheld joseph's sons, and said, who are these?

Բայց Աստուած Յովսէփի հետ էր. նա ողորմութիւն պարգեւեց նրան, եւ այնպէս արեց, որ նա բանտապետի բարեհաճութեանն արժանանայ:
but the lord was with joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

Եւ փարաւոնը մատից հանելով իր մատանին՝ դրեց Յովսէփի մատին, նրան հագցրեց բեհեզեայ պատմուճան, ոսկէ մանեակ անցկացրեց նրա պարանոցին,
and pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

Լուրը հասաւ փարաւոնի պալատ. ասացին. «Յովսէփի եղբայրներն են եկել»: Ուրախացան փարաւոնն ու նրա պաշտօնեաները:
and the fame thereof was heard in pharaoh's house, saying, joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased pharaoh well, and his servants.

Եւ փարաւոնը Յովսէփի անունը դրեց Փսոմփթոմբանէ, իսկ Արեգ քաղաքի քուրմ Պետափրէսի դուստր Ասանէթին նրան տուեց կնութեան: Եւ Յովսէփը գնաց փարաւոնի մօտից:
and pharaoh called joseph's name zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife asenath the daughter of poti-pherah priest of on. and joseph went out over all the land of egypt.

Մարդը նրանց տարաւ ներս՝ Յովսէփի տունը: Ջուր բերեցին, որ նրանք լուանան իրենց ոտքերը, եւ նա նրանց գրաստներին կեր տուեց:
and the man brought the men into joseph's house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their asses provender.

եւ սա՝ Սիմէոնի, եւ սա՝ Յուդայի, եւ սա՝ Յովսէփի, եւ սա՝ Յովնամի, եւ սա՝ Եղիակիմի,
which was the son of simeon, which was the son of juda, which was the son of joseph, which was the son of jonan, which was the son of eliakim,

Իմ արծաթէ սկիհը դրէ՛ք կրտսեր եղբօր պարկի մէջ: Այնտեղ դրէ՛ք նաեւ նրա ցորենի գինը»: Եւ արուեց ըստ Յովսէփի ասածի:
and put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. and he did according to the word that joseph had spoken.

«Ահա քո որդի Յովսէփը քեզ մօտ է գալիս»: Իսրայէլն ուժերը հաւաքեց ու նստեց անկողնում:
and one told jacob, and said, behold, thy son joseph cometh unto thee: and israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
