nicht weil's geregnet hat, aber weil's arschkalt war...und kurz danach eh anfing zu regnen.
not because of the rain -which also started shortly after- but because of the fucking cold.

zu dem album kam es einigermaßen unverhofft während eines kanada-urlaubs. sid hatte zwei wochen nichts zu tun und arschkalt war es außerdem.
the album came about unannounced during a holiday in canada. with nothing to do for two weeks and frigging cold weather, sid wrote and produced most of it in one spontaneous outburst.

der zug hatte enorm verspätung (und mann, es war arschkalt beim warten!) und ich musste bald nach turku, um die band zu treffen.
the train was awfully late (and man it was bloody cold waiting for it!) and i soon had to head for turku to meet the band.

aber auch mit decke war es einfach nur arschkalt, und ich habe die ganze zeit gezittert, wobei ich noch das glück hatte, mit einem anderen zusammen in einer relativ großen zelle zu sein.
but even with the blanket it was simply brass monkeys and i was shivering the whole time even though i was lucky enough to be put into a large cell with a couple of others.

zwar kamen die temperaturen nicht an den dreh unseres ersten kurzfilms "kampfansage" ran (-10 °c), aber es war totzdem arschkalt.
the temperature was not as low as on our shoot of the short movie "kampfansage" (-10 °c/14°f), but still it was freezing cold.

die schlittenhunde bekommen auch ein paar tage frei vom training und stattdessen eine extraration fett für den erhöhten kalorienbedarf. wer mal muss, geht aufs plumsklo im freien (nein, man friert nicht auf der klobrille fest, denn die besteht aus einer schaumstoffplatte mit loch drin und ja, man beeilt sich, weil es ist arschkalt).
if you need to use the loo you use the outhouse (no, you don’t freeze to the seat, because it is made of a polystyrene sheet with a hole in and yes, you do hurry up because it freezes the balls off a brass monkey).
