1719 haben sich zwei männer aus Ål über das recht auf eine waldschneise gestritten.
in 1719 two men from Ål came in a fight for the right of a strip of field.

heute ist durch eine waldschneise nur noch der tillenberg/dyleň zu sehen .
today, it can be seen through a clearance on the dyleň mountain.

schon damals war man darauf bedacht, den hausberg von interlaken nicht durch eine gerade waldschneise zu verunstalten.
even at that time attention was paid not to disfigure interlaken's local mountain with a straight line through the trees.

zugang: vom parkplatz leicht links bis zum bahngleis. ihm bis zum ende folgen und auf der forststraße zur rechtsbiegung und über den bach und durch die waldschneise zum klettergarten.
approach: from the parking area left to the rail track, follow the rail track, on the forest road, across the river, across the forest aisle to the climbing garden.

die abfahrt erfolgt über die nordostwerts gerichtete gipfelwiese bis zu einem sattel. am sattel fährt man nach links in einen graben ein, in dem eine steile waldschneise bis ins kirchental führt, wo man wieder auf die aufstiegsspur stößt.
the descent follows the meadows northwest of the summit until you reach a saddle. at the saddle you turn left to a steep groove.

dahinter wurden vogelbeeren (früchte der eberesche) als köder befestigt. oft hingen die dohnen dicht an dicht zu beiden seiten einer waldschneise und bildeten den »dohnenstieg«. zahllose heimische vögel verendeten in diesen fallen; so wurde der fang schon 1908 durch das deutsche reichsvogelschutzgesetz verboten.
bird-berries (fruits of the boar-ash) were fortified behind it as baits. often, the dohnen hung extremely densely to both sides of a forest-aisle and formed the "dohnenstieg." countless native birds perished in these traps; so, the catch was prohibited already 1908 by the german federal-bird-protection-law.
