ከቀኝ ጓዶችም ቢኾንማ ፡ ፡

ይህ ከፊተኞቹ አስፈራሪዎች ( ጎሳ ) የኾነ አስፈራሪ ነው ፡ ፡

ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

this is a revelation of the mighty , the merciful .
አሸናፊ አዛኝ ከሆነው አምላክ መወረድን ተወረደ ፡ ፡

it is a revelation sent down from the lord of the worlds .
ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

and verily it is a revelation of the lord of the worlds .
እርሱም ( ቁርኣን ) በእርግጥ ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

and lo ! it is a revelation of the lord of the worlds ,
እርሱም ( ቁርኣን ) በእርግጥ ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

for it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of hellfire :
እርሷ በገሀነም አዘቅት ውስጥ የምትወጣ ዛፍ ናት ፡ ፡

( this is ) a message sent down from the lord of the worlds .
ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው ፡ ፡

for it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of hell-fire :
እርሷ በገሀነም አዘቅት ውስጥ የምትወጣ ዛፍ ናት ፡ ፡

[ this is ] a revelation of the exalted in might , the merciful ,
አሸናፊ አዛኝ ከሆነው አምላክ መወረድን ተወረደ ፡ ፡

[ this is ] a mention of the mercy of your lord to his servant zechariah
( ይህ ) ጌታህ ባሪያውን ዘከሪያን በችሮታው ያወሳበት ነው ፡ ፡

( this is ) a recital of the mercy of thy lord to his servant zakariya .
( ይህ ) ጌታህ ባሪያውን ዘከሪያን በችሮታው ያወሳበት ነው ፡ ፡

this is a ( prophet ) like that of the ancient warners ( prophets ) .
ይህ ከፊተኞቹ አስፈራሪዎች ( ጎሳ ) የኾነ አስፈራሪ ነው ፡ ፡

and by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves .
በተጣጅና በሚጣዱትም ፤ ( እምላለሁ ) ፡ ፡

( it is a great grace and protection from allah ) , for the taming of the quraish ,
ቁረይሽን ለማላመድ ( ባለዝሆኖቹን አጠፋ ) ፡ ፡

we did not create the sky and the earth and whatever is between them in vain . that is a conjecture of the faithless .
ሰማይንና ምድርን በመካከላቸውም ያለውን ሁሉ ለከንቱ አልፈጠርንም ፡ ፡ ይህ የእነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች ጥርጣሬ ነው ፡ ፡ ለእነዚያም ለካዱት ሰዎች ከእሳት ወዮላቸው !

( this is ) a mention of the mercy of your lord to his slave zakariya ( zachariah ) .
( ይህ ) ጌታህ ባሪያውን ዘከሪያን በችሮታው ያወሳበት ነው ፡ ፡

or they allege , “ he is a poet we – await a calamity of the times to befall him . ”
ይልቁንም የሞትን አደጋ በእርሱ የምንጠባበቅበት የኾነ ባለ ቅኔ ነው ይላሉን ?

and most surely it is a knowledge of the hour , therefore have no doubt about it and follow me : this is the right path .
እርሱም ( ዒሳ ) ለሰዓቲቱ ( ማወቂያ ) በእርግጥ ምልክት ነው ፡ ፡ « በእርሷም አትጠራጠሩ ፡ ፡ ተከተሉኝም ፤ ይህ ቀጥተኛ መንገድ ነው » ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡
