( እርሷም ) ዋልኝ ! እኔ አሮጊት ይህም ባሌ ሽማግሌ ሆኖ ሳለ እወልዳለሁን ይህ በእርግጥ አስደናቂ ነገር ነው አለች ፡ ፡

she said , " how can i have a son when no mortal has touched me nor am i an unchaste woman " .
« ( በጋብቻ ) ሰው ያልነካኝ ሆኜ አመንዝራም ሳልሆን ለእኔ እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል ! » አለች ፡ ፡

he said : my lord ! how can i have a son when my wife is barren and i have reached infirm old age ?
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ሚስቴ መካን የነበረች ስትኾን እኔም ከእርጅና ድርቀትን በእርግጥ የደረስኩ ስኾን እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል ! » አለ ፡ ፡

she said , “ how can i have a son , when no man has touched me , and i was never unchaste ? ”
« ( በጋብቻ ) ሰው ያልነካኝ ሆኜ አመንዝራም ሳልሆን ለእኔ እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል ! » አለች ፡ ፡

and believe in what i have sent down which verifies what is already with you ; and do not be the first to deny it , nor part with it for little gain ; and beware of me .
ከናንተ ጋር ያለውን ( መጽሐፍ ) የሚያረጋግጥ ሆኖ ባወረድኩትም ( ቁርኣን ) እመኑ ፡ ፡ በርሱም የመጀመሪያ ከሓዲ አትሁኑ ፡ ፡ በአንቀጾቼም ጥቂትን ዋጋ አትለውጡ ፡ ፡ እኔንም ብቻ ተጠንቀቁ ፡

how can i have a son when age hath overtaken me already and my wife is barren ? ( the angel ) answered : so ( it will be ) .
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ እርጅና በእርግጥ የደረሰብኝ ስኾን ባልተቤቴም መሐን ስትሆን ለእኔ እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል አለ ፡ ፡ ( መልአኩም ) እንደዚሁ አላህ የሚሻውን ነገር ይሠራል » አለው ፡ ፡

" how can i have a son , " she said , " when no man has touched me , nor am i sinful ? "
« ( በጋብቻ ) ሰው ያልነካኝ ሆኜ አመንዝራም ሳልሆን ለእኔ እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል ! » አለች ፡ ፡

" how can i have a son , o lord " he said , " when my wife is barren and i am old and decrepit ? "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ሚስቴ መካን የነበረች ስትኾን እኔም ከእርጅና ድርቀትን በእርግጥ የደረስኩ ስኾን እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል ! » አለ ፡ ፡

how can i have a son when i am very old , and my wife is barren ? " allah said : " thus allah does what he wills . "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ እርጅና በእርግጥ የደረሰብኝ ስኾን ባልተቤቴም መሐን ስትሆን ለእኔ እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል አለ ፡ ፡ ( መልአኩም ) እንደዚሁ አላህ የሚሻውን ነገር ይሠራል » አለው ፡ ፡

i say not that i have the treasures of god , or that i possess the knowledge of the unknown . i do not claim to be an angel , nor can i say that god will not bestow any good on those you disdain , for god is cognisant of what is in their hearts .
« ለእናንተም እኔ ዘንድ የአላህ ግምጃ ቤቶች አልሉ ሩቅንም ዐውቃለሁ አልላችሁም ፡ ፡ እኔም መልአክ ነኝ አልላችሁም ፡ ፡ ለእነዚያም ዓይኖቻችሁ ለሚያዋርዷቸው አላህ ደግ ነገርን ( እምነትን ) አይሰጣቸውም አልልም ፡ ፡ አላህ በነፍሶቻቸው ውስጥ ያለውን ነገር አዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ እኔ ያን ጊዜ ከበደለኞች እሆናለሁና » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

how can i have a son when old age has reached me and my wife is barren ? ” he said , “ this is how allah brings about , whatever he wills . ”
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ እርጅና በእርግጥ የደረሰብኝ ስኾን ባልተቤቴም መሐን ስትሆን ለእኔ እንዴት ልጅ ይኖረኛል አለ ፡ ፡ ( መልአኩም ) እንደዚሁ አላህ የሚሻውን ነገር ይሠራል » አለው ፡ ፡

ከእነርሱም ( ትቷቸው ) ዞረ ፡ - « ወገኖቼ ሆይ ! የጌታዬን መልክቶች በእርግጥ አደረስኩላችሁ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም መከርኩ ፡ ፡ ታዲያ በከሓዲዎች ሰዎች ላይ እንዴት አዝናለሁ » አለም ፡ ፡

" how can i have a son , o lord , " he said , " for i am old and my wife is barren ? " " thus , " came the answer , " god does as he wills . "
