ኃጢአታቸውንም እየተናዘዙ በዮርዳኖስ ወንዝ ከእርሱ ይጠመቁ ነበር።

and there went out unto him all the land of judaea, and they of jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of jordan, confessing their sins.
የይሁዳም አገር ሁሉ የኢየሩሳሌምም ሰዎች ሁሉ ወደ እርሱ ይወጡ ነበር፥ ኃጢአታቸውንም እየተናዘዙ በዮርዳኖስ ወንዝ ከእርሱ ይጠመቁ ነበር።

and i come confessing to the taurat that was before me , and to allow unto you some of that which was forbidden unto you . so and i have come unto you with a sign from your lord wherefore fear allah and obey me .
« ከተውራትም ከእኔ በፊት ያለውን ያረጋገጥሁ ስኾን የዚያንም በእናንተ ላይ እርም የተደረገውን ከፊል ለእናንተ እፈቅድ ዘንድ ( መጣኋችሁ ) ከጌታችሁም በኾነ ታምር መጣሁዋችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ፍሩ ፤ ታዘዙኝም ፡ ፡ »

were you to see when the guilty hang their heads before their lord [ confessing ] , ‘ our lord ! we have seen and heard .
አመጸኞችም በጌታቸው ዘንድ ራሶቻቸውን ያቀረቀሩ ሆነው « ጌታችን ሆይ ! አየን ፣ ሰማንም ፡ ፡ መልካምን እንሠራለንና ( ወደ ምድረ ዓለም ) መልሰን ፡ ፡ እኛ አረጋጋጮች ነን ፡ ፡ » ( የሚሉ ሲሆኑ ) ብታይ ኖሮ ( አስደንጋጭን ነገር ታይ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

and whenever there came unto them an apostle from allah confessing to that which was with them , a party among those who were vouchsafed the book , cast allah 's book behind their backs as though they knew not .
እነርሱ ጋርም ላለው ( መጽሐፍ ) አረጋጋጭ የኾነ መልክተኛ ከአላህ ዘንድ በመጣላቸው ጊዜ ከነዚያ መጽሐፍን ከተሰጡት ከፊሉ እነርሱ እንደማያውቁ ኾነው የአላህን መጽሐፍ ከጀርባዎቻቸው ኋላ ጣሉ ፡ ፡

and in their footsteps we caused ' isa , son of maryam , to follow , confessing to that which had preceded him , the taurat , and we vouchsafed unto him the injil wherein was a guidance and a light , confirming that which had preceded it , the taurat , and a guidance and an admonition unto the god-fearing .
በፈለጎቻቸውም ( በነቢያቶቹ ፈለግ ) ላይ የመርየምን ልጅ ዒሳን ከተውራት በስተፊቱ ያለውን አረጋጋጭ ሲኾን አስከተልን ፡ ፡ ኢንጂልንም በውስጡ ቀጥታና ብርሃን ያለበት በስተፊቱ ያለችውን ተውራትንም የሚያረጋግጥ ለጥንቁቆችም መሪና ገሳጭ ሲኾን ሰጠነው ፡ ፡
