and we made corn grow ,
በውስጧም እኽልን ያበቀልን ፤

and produce therein corn ,
በውስጧም እኽልን ያበቀልን ፤

corn-fields , gracious mansions ,
ከአዝመራዎችም ከመልካም መቀመጫም ፡ ፡

and corn-fields and noble buildings ,
ከአዝመራዎችም ከመልካም መቀመጫም ፡ ፡

that we may produce therewith corn and vegetables ,
በእርሱ እኽልንና ቅጠላ ቅጠልን እናወጣ ዘንድ ( አወረድን ) ፡ ፡

and turned them into pastured fields of corn ?
ቅጠሉ እንደ ተበላ አዝመራም አደረጋቸው ፡ ፡

and a variety of corn with both husk and grain .
የገለባ ባለቤት የኾነ ቅንጣትም ፡ ፡ ባለ መልካም መዐዛ ቅጠሎችም ( ያሉባት ስትኾን ) ፡ ፡

so that we bring forth thereby corn and vegetation .
በእርሱ እኽልንና ቅጠላ ቅጠልን እናወጣ ዘንድ ( አወረድን ) ፡ ፡

and this their crying ceased not till we made them as reaped corn , extinct .
የታጨዱ ሬሳዎችም እስካደረግናቸው ድረስ ይህቺ ጠሪያቸው ከመኾን አልተወገደችም ፡ ፡

and corn-fields and palm-trees whereof the spathes are fine ?
« በአዝመራዎችም ፍሬዋ የበሰለ በኾነች ዘንባባም ፤ ( ውስጥ ትተዋላችሁን )

and made them like an empty field of stalks ( of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle ) .
ቅጠሉ እንደ ተበላ አዝመራም አደረጋቸው ፡ ፡

for it is written in the law of moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. doth god take care for oxen?
ሕግስ ደግሞ ያን አይልምን? የሚያበራየውን በሬ አፉን አትሰር ተብሎ በሙሴ ሕግ ተጽፎአልና። እግዚአብሔርስ ስለ በሬዎች ይገደዋልን?

also corn , with ( its ) leaves and stalk for fodder , and sweet-smelling plants .
የገለባ ባለቤት የኾነ ቅንጣትም ፡ ፡ ባለ መልካም መዐዛ ቅጠሎችም ( ያሉባት ስትኾን ) ፡ ፡

and in the earth are tracts ( diverse though ) neighbouring , and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn , and palm trees - growing out of single roots or otherwise : watered with the same water , yet some of them we make more excellent than others to eat . behold , verily in these things there are signs for those who understand !
በምድርም የተጎራበቱ ቁርጥራጮች አልሉ ፡ ፡ ከወይኖችም አትክልቶች አዝርዕቶችም መንታዎችና መንታዎች ያልኾኑ ዘንባባዎችም አልሉ ፡ ፡ በአንድ ውሃ ይጠጣሉ ፤ ( በጣዕምም ይለያያሉ ) ፡ ፡ ከፊሉዋንም በከፊሉ ላይ በሚበላው ሰብል እናበልጣለን ፡ ፡ በዚህም ውስጥ ለሚያውቁ ሕዝቦች ተዓምራት አለበት ፡ ፡
