ገላጭ በኾነው መጽሐፍ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

by the promised day ,
በተቀጠረው ቀንም ፤

by the dawn-raiders
በማለዳ ወራሪዎች በኾኑትም ፤

by the mount sinai ,
በጡር ( ጋራ ) እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

by the elevated canopy ;
ከፍ በተደረገው ጣራም ፡ ፡

and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
እነርሱም ከበጉ ደም የተነሣ ከምስክራቸውም ቃል የተነሣ ድል ነሡት፥ ነፍሳቸውንም እስከ ሞት ድረስ አልወደዱም።

but is now made manifest by the appearing of our saviour jesus christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
አሁን ግን በመድኃኒታችን በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ መገለጥ ታይቶአል። እርሱ ሞትን ሽሮአልና እኔ ሰባኪና ሐዋርያ አሕዛብንም አስተማሪ እንድሆን በተሾምሁበት በወንጌል ሕይወትንና አለመጥፋትን ወደ ብርሃን አውጥቶአል።

by the drawers ( the angels of death ) , gently drawing ( the souls of the believers ) ,
በቀስታ መምዘዝንም መዘዦች በኾኑት ፤

say , ‘ you will be taken away by the angel of death , who has been charged with you . then you will be brought back to your lord . ’
« በእናንተ የተወከለው መልአከ ሞት ይገድላችኋል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ወደ ጌታችሁ ትመለሳላችሁ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

have you not considered those who fled their homes , by the thousands , fearful of death ? god said to them , “ die . ”
ወደ እነዚያ እነርሱ ብዙ ሺሕ ኾነው ሞትን ለመፍራት ከሀገሮቻቸው ወደ ወጡት ሰዎች ዕውቀትህ አልደረሰምን ? አላህም ለነርሱ « ሙቱ » አላቸው ፤ ( ሞቱም ) ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ሕያው አደረጋቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም በሰዎች ላይ ባለችሮታ ነው ፤ ግን አብዛኛዎቹ ሰዎች አያመሰግኑም ፡ ፡

was then that which is good made death unto me? god forbid. but sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
እንግዲህ በጎ የሆነው ነገር ለእኔ ሞት ሆነብኝን? አይደለም፥ ነገር ግን ኃጢአት ሆነ፤ ኃጢአትም በትእዛዝ ምክንያት ያለ ልክ ኃጢአተኛ ይሆን ዘንድ፥ ኃጢአትም እንዲሆን ይገለጥ ዘንድ በጎ በሆነው ነገር ለእኔ ሞትን ይሠራ ነበር።
