would they hasten on our doom ?
በቅጣታችንም ያቻኩላሉን ?

and we are a host on our guard '
« እኛም ብዙዎች ጥንቁቆች ነን ፤ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

do they seek to hasten on our torment ?
በቅጣታችንም ያቻኩላሉን ?

and now we have none to intercede on our behalf ,
ከአማላጆችም ለእኛ ምንም የለንም ፡ ፡

so turn away from whoever turns his back on our message and desires not except the worldly life .
ከግሣጼያችንም ( ከቁርኣን ) ከሸሸና አነስተኛይቱን ሕይወት እንጅ ሌላን ከማይሻ ሰው ዙር ( ተወው ) ፡ ፡

satan gives them false promises and tempts them to develop longings which can never be realized .
( የማይፈጸመውን ) ተስፋ ይሰጣቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያስመኛቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ለማታለል እንጅ አይቀጥራቸውም ፡ ፡

the satan maketh them promises and filleth them with vain desires. and satan promiseth them not but delusion .
( የማይፈጸመውን ) ተስፋ ይሰጣቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያስመኛቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ለማታለል እንጅ አይቀጥራቸውም ፡ ፡

he gives them promises and excites vain desires in them ; and the shaitan does not promise them but to deceive .
( የማይፈጸመውን ) ተስፋ ይሰጣቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያስመኛቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ለማታለል እንጅ አይቀጥራቸውም ፡ ፡

do they wish ( indeed ) to hurry on our punishment ?
በቅጣታችንም ያቻኩላሉን ?

he makes them promises and gives them [ false ] hopes , yet satan does not promise them anything but delusion .
( የማይፈጸመውን ) ተስፋ ይሰጣቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያስመኛቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ለማታለል እንጅ አይቀጥራቸውም ፡ ፡

satan makes them promises , and creates in them false desires ; but satan 's promises are nothing but deception .
( የማይፈጸመውን ) ተስፋ ይሰጣቸዋል ፡ ፡ ያስመኛቸዋልም ፡ ፡ ሰይጣንም ለማታለል እንጅ አይቀጥራቸውም ፡ ፡

our promise to them came true and we saved them and those whom we wanted , but destroyed the unjust people .
ከዚያም ቀጠሮን ሞላንላቸው ፡ ፡ አዳንናቸውም ፡ ፡ የምንሻውንም ሰው ( አዳን ) ፡ ፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹንም አጠፋን ፡ ፡

obey allah and obey the apostlle ; then if ye turn away , on our apostle is only the preaching manifest .
አላህንም ተገዙ ፤ መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ ፤ ብትዞሩም ( መልክተኛውን አትጎዱም ) ፤ በመልክተኛውም ላይ ያለበት ግልጽ ማድረስ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

then we fulfilled our promise to them and we saved them and those with them whom we pleased , and we destroyed those who exceeded all bounds .
ከዚያም ቀጠሮን ሞላንላቸው ፡ ፡ አዳንናቸውም ፡ ፡ የምንሻውንም ሰው ( አዳን ) ፡ ፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹንም አጠፋን ፡ ፡

in the end we fulfilled to them our promise , and we saved them and those whom we pleased , but we destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds .
ከዚያም ቀጠሮን ሞላንላቸው ፡ ፡ አዳንናቸውም ፡ ፡ የምንሻውንም ሰው ( አዳን ) ፡ ፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹንም አጠፋን ፡ ፡

and they ask thee to hasten on the torment , whereas allah shall not fail his promise . and verily a day with thy lord is as a thousand years of that which ye compute .
አላህም ቀጠሮውን በፍጹም የማይጥስ ሲሆን በቅጣት ያቻኩሉሃል ፡ ፡ እጌታህም ዘንድ አንዱ ቀን ከምትቆጥሩት ( ቀን ) እንደ ሺሕ ዓመት ነው ፡ ፡

indeed those to whom our promise of goodness has been made , have been kept far away from hell .
እነዚያ ከእኛ መልካሟ ቃል ለእነርሱ ያለፈችላቸው እነዚያ ከርሷ የተራቁ ናቸው ፡ ፡

commemorate ishmael in the book . he was true of his promise , and a messenger , a prophet .
በመጽሐፉ ኢስማዒልንም አውሳ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ቀጠሮን አክባሪ ነበረና ፡ ፡ መልክተኛ ነቢይም ነበር ፡ ፡

and allah fails not his promise . and verily , a day with your lord is as a thousand years of what you reckon .
አላህም ቀጠሮውን በፍጹም የማይጥስ ሲሆን በቅጣት ያቻኩሉሃል ፡ ፡ እጌታህም ዘንድ አንዱ ቀን ከምትቆጥሩት ( ቀን ) እንደ ሺሕ ዓመት ነው ፡ ፡

and mention in the book , ishmael . indeed , he was true to his promise , and he was a messenger and a prophet .
በመጽሐፉ ኢስማዒልንም አውሳ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ቀጠሮን አክባሪ ነበረና ፡ ፡ መልክተኛ ነቢይም ነበር ፡ ፡
