« ከዓለማት ( ማንንም እንዳታስተናግድ ) አልከለከልንህምን » አሉት ፡ ፡

they said , " have we not forbidden you from [ protecting ] people ? "
« ከዓለማት ( ማንንም እንዳታስተናግድ ) አልከለከልንህምን » አሉት ፡ ፡

they said , “ had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone ? ”
« ከዓለማት ( ማንንም እንዳታስተናግድ ) አልከለከልንህምን » አሉት ፡ ፡

he said , “ it is forbidden for them for forty years . they will wander aimlessly in the land .
እርስዋም ( የተቀደሰችው መሬት ) በእነርሱ ላይ አርባ ዓመት እርም ናት ፡ ፡ በምድረ በዳ ይንከራተታሉ ፡ ፡ « በአመጸኞችም ሕዝቦች ላይ አትዘን » አለው ፡ ፡

we have forbidden the jews what we have already related to you . we did not wrong them , but they wronged themselves .
በእነዚያም ይሁዳውያን በኾኑት ላይ ከአሁን በፊት በአንተ ላይ የተረክነውን ነገር እርም አድርገንባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እኛም አልበደልናቸውም ፡ ፡ ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን ይበድሉ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

and when they persisted in pursuing that which had been forbidden we said : ' become despised apes . '
ከእርሱም ከተከለከሉት ነገር በኮሩ ጊዜ ለእነሱ « ወረዶች ዝንጀሮች ኹኑ አልን ፤ » ( ኾኑም ) ፡ ፡

if you avoid the major sins that are forbidden to you , we shall pardon your evil deeds and admit you by an entrance of honor .
ከእርሱ ከተከለከላችሁት ታላላቆቹን ( ኀጢአቶች ) ብትርቁ ( ትናንሾቹን ) ኀጢአቶቻችሁን ከእናንተ እናብሳለን ፡ ፡ የተከበረንም ስፍራ ( ገነትን ) እናገባችኋለን ፡ ፡

and when they had scornfully persisted in what they had been forbidden , we said to them : ' be apes , despised '
ከእርሱም ከተከለከሉት ነገር በኮሩ ጊዜ ለእነሱ « ወረዶች ዝንጀሮች ኹኑ አልን ፤ » ( ኾኑም ) ፡ ፡

and those of jewry -- we have forbidden them what we related to thee before , and we wronged them not , but they wronged themselves .
በእነዚያም ይሁዳውያን በኾኑት ላይ ከአሁን በፊት በአንተ ላይ የተረክነውን ነገር እርም አድርገንባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እኛም አልበደልናቸውም ፡ ፡ ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን ይበድሉ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

the adulterer shall not marry save an adulteress or an idolatress , and the adulteress none shall marry save an adulterer or an idolater . all that is forbidden unto believers .
ዝሙተኛው ዝሙተኛይቱን ወይም አጋሪይቱን እንጂ አያገባም ፡ ፡ ዝሙተኛይቱንም ዝሙተኛ ወይም አጋሪ እንጂ አያገባትም ፡ ፡ ይህም በምእምናን ላይ ተከልክሏል ፡ ፡

and for the evildoing of those of jewry , we have forbidden them certain good things that were permitted to them , and for their barring from god 's way many ,
ከእነዚያ ይሁዳውያን ከኾኑትም በተገኘው በደል ሰዎችንም ከአላህ መንገድ በብዙ በመከልከላቸው ምክንያት ለእነሱ ተፈቅደው የነበሩትን ጣፋጮች ምግቦች በእነርሱ ላይ እርም አደረግንባቸው ፡ ፡

and we had before forbidden foster-mothers for him , so she said : shall i show you a household who will rear him for you and take care of him ?
( ወደናቱ ከመመለሱ ) በፊትም አጥቢዎችን ( መጥባትን ) በእርሱ ላይ እርም አደረግን ፡ ፡ ( እኅቱ ) « ለእናንተ የሚያሳድጉላችሁን እነርሱም ለእርሱ ቅን አገልጋዮች የሆኑን ቤተሰቦች ላመልክታችሁን » አለችም ፡ ፡

and then , when they disdainfully persisted in doing what they had been forbidden to do , we said to them , " be as apes , despised ! "
ከእርሱም ከተከለከሉት ነገር በኮሩ ጊዜ ለእነሱ « ወረዶች ዝንጀሮች ኹኑ አልን ፤ » ( ኾኑም ) ፡ ፡
