« መሓሪ አዛኝ ከኾነው አላህ መስተንግዶ ሲኾን » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

a recompense from thy lord-a gift sufficient -
ከጌታህ የኾነን ምንዳ በቂ ስጦታን ( ተሰጡ ) ፡ ፡

for a recompense from thy lord , a gift , a reckoning ,
ከጌታህ የኾነን ምንዳ በቂ ስጦታን ( ተሰጡ ) ፡ ፡

' this is our gift , give or withhold without reckoning '
« ይህ ስጦታችን ነው ፡ ፡ ያለግምት ለግስ ፤ ወይም ጨብጥ » ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡

but i shall send them a gift and see what the messengers bring back '
« እኔም ወደእነርሱ ገጸ በረከትን የምልክና መልክተኞቹ በምን እንደሚመለሱ የምጠባበቅ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »

but surely those who believe and do the right will have gardens of paradise as gift ,
እነዚያ ያመኑና መልካም ሥራዎችን የሠሩ የፊርደውስ ገነቶች ለእነሱ መስፈሪያ ናቸው ፡ ፡

' this is our gift ; bestow or withhold without reckoning . '
« ይህ ስጦታችን ነው ፡ ፡ ያለግምት ለግስ ፤ ወይም ጨብጥ » ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡

" a hospitable gift from one oft-forgiving , most merciful ! "
« መሓሪ አዛኝ ከኾነው አላህ መስተንግዶ ሲኾን » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

but that which god has given me is better than that which he has given you . yet you rejoice in your gift .
( መልክተኛው ) ሱለይማንንም በመጣው ጊዜ አለ « በገንዘብ ትረዱኛላችሁን አላህም የሰጠኝ ከሰጣችሁ የበለጠ ነው ፡ ፡ ይልቁንም እናንተ በገጸ በረከታችሁ ትደሰታላችሁ ፡ ፡ »

we told him , " this is our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like " .
« ይህ ስጦታችን ነው ፡ ፡ ያለግምት ለግስ ፤ ወይም ጨብጥ » ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡

and a curse followed them in the world , and on the day of resurrection ; what a wretched gift is what they received .
በዚችም ( በቅርቢቱ ዓለም ) እርግማንን አስከተልናቸው ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤም ቀን ( እንደዚሁ ) ፡ ፡ የተሰጡት ስጦታ ምንኛ ከፋ !

a curse followed them in this world , and shall follow them on the day of resurrection . what a foul gift to be given !
በዚችም ( በቅርቢቱ ዓለም ) እርግማንን አስከተልናቸው ፡ ፡ በትንሣኤም ቀን ( እንደዚሁ ) ፡ ፡ የተሰጡት ስጦታ ምንኛ ከፋ !

( saying ) : this is our gift , so bestow thou , or withhold , without reckoning .
« ይህ ስጦታችን ነው ፡ ፡ ያለግምት ለግስ ፤ ወይም ጨብጥ » ( አልነው ) ፡ ፡

" i am only the messenger of your lord , " he replied . " i shall bestow upon you the gift of a son endowed with purity . "
« እኔ ንጹሕን ልጅ ለአንቺ ልሰጥሽ የጌታሽ መልክተኛ ነኝ » አላት ፡ ፡
