and he did not urge the feeding of the needy ,
ድኾችንም በማብላት ላይ አያግባባም ነበርና ፡ ፡

he taught the human being what he did not know .
ሰውን ያላወቀውን ሁሉ ያሳወቀ ሲኾን ፡ ፡

and did not feed the needy ,
« ለድኾችም የምናበላ አልነበርንም ፡ ፡

but he did not venture to scale the difficult steep .
ዓቀበቲቱንም አልወጣም ፡ ፡

and pharaoh led his folk astray , he did not guide them .
ፈርዖንም ሕዝቦቹን አሳሳታቸው ፡ ፡ ቅኑንም መንገድ አልመራቸውም ፡ ፡

that they earned did not avail them .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

does he not remember that we created him when he did not exist ?
ሰው ከአሁን በፊት ምንም ነገር ያልነበረ ሲኾን እኛ የፈጠርነው መኾኑን አያስታውስምን

and kind to my mother , and he did not make me a disobedient rebel .
« ለእናቴም ታዛዥ ( አድርጎኛል ) ፡ ፡ ትዕቢተኛ እምቢተኛም አላደረገኝም ፡ ፡

his eyes did not swerve , nor did they stray
ዓይኑ ( ካየው ) አልተዘነበለም ፡ ፡ ወሰንም አላለፈም ፡ ፡

his eye did not waver , nor did it stray ,
ዓይኑ ( ካየው ) አልተዘነበለም ፡ ፡ ወሰንም አላለፈም ፡ ፡

and firon led astray his people and he did not guide ( them ) aright .
ፈርዖንም ሕዝቦቹን አሳሳታቸው ፡ ፡ ቅኑንም መንገድ አልመራቸውም ፡ ፡
