ከዚያም ( ለማጥፋት ) የሚተጋ ኾኖ ዞረ ፡ ፡

then he turned his back , striving .
ከዚያም ( ለማጥፋት ) የሚተጋ ኾኖ ዞረ ፡ ፡

he frowned and turned ( his ) back ,
ፊቱን አጨፈገገ ፤ ዞረም ፡ ፡

have you considered he who turns his back ,
ያንን ( ከእምነት ) የዞረውን አየህን ?

but he who turns his back , and disbelieves ,
ግን ( ከእውነት ) የዞረና የካደ ሰው ፤

and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly
ከዚያም ( ከማመን ) ዞረ ፤ ኮራም ፡ ፡

but he who is given his book from behind his back
መጽሐፉን በጀርባው ኋላ የተሰጠ ሰውማ ፤

but he who is given the record behind his back ,
መጽሐፉን በጀርባው ኋላ የተሰጠ ሰውማ ፤

and what will his wealth avail him when he falls ?
በወደቀም ጊዜ ገንዘቡ ከእርሱ ምንም አይጠቅመውም ፡ ፡

but he who is given his record behind his back , -
መጽሐፉን በጀርባው ኋላ የተሰጠ ሰውማ ፤

but as for he who is given his record behind his back ,
መጽሐፉን በጀርባው ኋላ የተሰጠ ሰውማ ፤

let him call on his associates for help
ሸንጎውንም ይጥራ ፡ ፡

have you seen him who turns his back ,
ያንን ( ከእምነት ) የዞረውን አየህን ?

hast thou considered him who turns his back
ያንን ( ከእምነት ) የዞረውን አየህን ?

nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [ into the pit ] .
በወደቀም ጊዜ ገንዘቡ ከእርሱ ምንም አይጠቅመውም ፡ ፡

further , he turned his back , striving hard ( against allah ) .
ከዚያም ( ለማጥፋት ) የሚተጋ ኾኖ ዞረ ፡ ፡

on the contrary , he gave the lie to the truth and turned his back upon it ,
ግን አስተባበለ ፤ ( ከእምነት ) ዞረም ፡ ፡

he enjoined on his household worship and zakat , and he was obedient to his lord .
ቤተሰቦቹንም በሶላትና በዘካ ያዝ ነበር ፡ ፡ እጌታውም ዘንድ ተወዳጅ ነበር ፡ ፡

and he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakah and was to his lord pleasing .
ቤተሰቦቹንም በሶላትና በዘካ ያዝ ነበር ፡ ፡ እጌታውም ዘንድ ተወዳጅ ነበር ፡ ፡

and as to him who is given his book behind his back ,
መጽሐፉን በጀርባው ኋላ የተሰጠ ሰውማ ፤
