ከዚያም ( ከሞት በኋላ ) ተረገመ ፡ ፡ እንዴት ገመተ !

how was then my punishment of which they had been warned ?
ቅጣቴና ማስጠንቀቂያዎቼም እንዴት ነበሩ ?

then i seized those who disbelieved , and how was my rejection !
ከዚያም እነዚያን የካዱትን ያዝኳቸው ፡ ፡ ቅጣቴም እንዴት ነበር ! ( በስፍራው ነው ) ፡ ፡

ከዚያም እነዚያን የካዱትን ያዝኳቸው ፡ ፡ ቅጣቴም እንዴት ነበር ! ( በስፍራው ነው ) ፡ ፡

so we inflicted retribution on them , then see how was the end of the rejecters .
ከእነርሱም ተበቀልን ፡ ፡ ያስተባባዮቹም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ ተመልከት ፡ ፡

and we rained down upon them a rain . so look how was the end of the evildoers .
በእነሱም ላይ ( የእሳት ) ዝናብን አዘነብንባቸው ፡ ፡ የኃጢአተኞችም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደነበረ ተመልከት ፡ ፡

so we took vengeance upon them ; and behold how was the end of them that cried lies .
ከእነርሱም ተበቀልን ፡ ፡ ያስተባባዮቹም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ ተመልከት ፡ ፡

say , ‘ travel over the land and observe how was the fate of the guilty . ’
« በምድር ላይ ኺዱ ፡ ፡ የአመጸኞችም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ ተመልከቱ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

children of adam , did we not command you not to worship satan . he was your sworn enemy .
የአደም ልጆች ሆይ ! ሰይጣንን አትገዙ ፤ እርሱ ለእናንተ ግልጽ ጠላት ነውና በማለት ወደእናንተ አላዘዝኩምን ?

' you , samaritan ' said he ( moses ) , ' what was your business '
( ሙሳ ) « ሳምራዊው ሆይ ! ነገርህም ምንድን ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

and behold , how was the end of their device ! for we destroyed them and their people all together .
የተንኮላቸውም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደነበረ እኛ እነርሱንም ሕዝቦቻቸውንም በሙሉ እንዴት እንዳጠፋናቸው ተመልከት ፡ ፡

good and evil are not equal . repel evil with good , and the person who was your enemy becomes like an intimate friend .
መልካሚቱና ክፉይቱም ( ጸባይ ) አይተካከሉም ፡ ፡ በዚያች እርሷ መልካም በኾነችው ጸባይ ( መጥፎይቱን ) ገፍትር ፡ ፡ ያን ጊዜ ያ ባንተና በእርሱ መካከል ጠብ ያለው ሰው እርሱ ልክ እንደ አዛኝ ዘመድ ይኾናል ፡ ፡

as you forgot the meeting of this your day of doom , so have we forgotten you . now taste the everlasting punishment for your deeds .
ይህንንም ቀናችሁን መገናኘትን በመርሳታችሁ ምክንያት ( ቅጣትን ) ቅመሱ ! እኛ ተውናችሁ ፡ ፡ ትሠሩት በነበራችሁትም ጥፋት ዘውታሪን ቅጣት ቅመሱ ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

certainly those who were before them had impugned [ my apostles ] ; but then how was my rebuttal !
እነዚያም ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩት በእርግጥ አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡ ጥላቻዬም እንዴት ነበር !
