በል « እኔ አላህን ሃይማኖትን ለርሱ ያጠራሁ ኾኜ እንድግገዛው ታዘዝኩ ፡ ፡

( moses ) replied : " i did do that and i was in the wrong ,
( ሙሳም ) አለ « ያን ጊዜ እኔም ከተሳሳቱት ኾኜ ሠራኋት ፡ ፡

he said : i did it then while i was of those unable to see the right course ;
( ሙሳም ) አለ « ያን ጊዜ እኔም ከተሳሳቱት ኾኜ ሠራኋት ፡ ፡

[ moses ] said , " i did it , then , while i was of those astray .
( ሙሳም ) አለ « ያን ጊዜ እኔም ከተሳሳቱት ኾኜ ሠራኋት ፡ ፡

he shall say : my lord ! why hast thou raised me blind and i was a seeing one indeed ?
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለምን ዕውር አድርገህ አስነሳኸኝ በእርግጥ የማይ የነበርኩ ስኾን » ይላል ፡ ፡

but as for him who is given his book in his left hand , he will say , “ i wish i was never given my book .
መጽሐፉንም በግራው የተሰጠማ « ዋ ጥፋቴ ! ምነው መጽሐፌን ባልተሰጠሁ » ይላል ፡ ፡

' my lord ' he will say : ' why have you raised me blind when i was able to see '
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለምን ዕውር አድርገህ አስነሳኸኝ በእርግጥ የማይ የነበርኩ ስኾን » ይላል ፡ ፡

lest a soul should say : alas ! for that i have been remiss in respect of allah , and i was but of the scoffers !
( የካደች ) ነፍስ « እኔ ከሚሳለቁት የነበርኩ ስኾን በአላህ በኩል ባጓደልኩት ዋ ጸጸቴ » ማለቷን ( ለመፍራት ) ፤

and be humble and tender to them and say : " lord , show mercy to them as they nurtured me when i was small . "
ለሁለቱም ከእዝነትህ የመዋረድን ክንፍ ዝቅ አድርግላቸው ፡ ፡ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በሕፃንነቴ ( በርኅራኄ ) እንዳሳደጉኝ እዘንልላቸውም » በል ፡ ፡

and treat them with humility and tenderness and say , " lord , be merciful to them both , as they raised me up when i was little . "
ለሁለቱም ከእዝነትህ የመዋረድን ክንፍ ዝቅ አድርግላቸው ፡ ፡ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በሕፃንነቴ ( በርኅራኄ ) እንዳሳደጉኝ እዘንልላቸውም » በል ፡ ፡
