የግራ ጓደኞችም ምንኛ ( የተዋረዱ ) የግራ ጓዶች ! ናቸው ፡ ፡

for the custom of the koraysh ,
ቁረይሽን ለማላመድ ( ባለዝሆኖቹን አጠፋ ) ፡ ፡

for the protection of the qureaish--
ቁረይሽን ለማላመድ ( ባለዝሆኖቹን አጠፋ ) ፡ ፡

for the companions of the right hand .
ለቀኝ ጓዶች ( አዘጋጀናቸው ) ፡ ፡

for the accustomed security of the quraysh -
ቁረይሽን ለማላመድ ( ባለዝሆኖቹን አጠፋ ) ፡ ፡

like of age for the companions of the right .
ለቀኝ ጓዶች ( አዘጋጀናቸው ) ፡ ፡

for the companions of the right [ who are ]
ለቀኝ ጓዶች ( አዘጋጀናቸው ) ፡ ፡

for the sake of the companions of the right hand .
ለቀኝ ጓዶች ( አዘጋጀናቸው ) ፡ ፡

for the son of man is lord even of the sabbath day.
የሰው ልጅ የሰንበት ጌታ ነውና።

የቁጠባ ሂሳብዎ ለወደፊቱ ዓላማ በመደበኛነት ፍጥነትዎ እንዲቆጥቡ ያስችልዎታል

እነዚያ ግን በእስራቴ ላይ መከራን ሊያመጡብኝ መስሎአቸው፥ ለወገናቸው የሚጠቅም ፈልገው በቅን አሳብ ሳይሆኑ ስለ ክርስቶስ ያወራሉ።

marked by thy lord for ( the destruction of ) the wanton .
በጌታህ ዘንድ ለድንበር አላፊዎቹ ( በየስማቸው ) ምልክት የተደረገባት ስትኾን ፡ ፡

so god seized him for the punishment of the hereafter and this world .
አላህም በኋለኛይቱና በፊተኛይቱ ( ቃል ) ቅጣት ያዘው ፡ ፡

as for the people of the right hand , how happy they will be !
የቀኝም ጓዶች ምንኛ ( የከበሩ ) የቀኝ ጓዶች !

we have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert .
እኛ ( ለገሀናም ) ማስታወሻ ለመንገደኞችም መጠቀሚያ አደረግናት ፡ ፡

god is the knower of the future of the heavens and the earth . he knows what the hearts contain .
አላህ የሰማያትንና የምድርን ምስጢር በእርግጥ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱ በልቦች ውስጥ ያለን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

for the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of god.
የፍጥረት ናፍቆት የእግዚአብሔርን ልጆች መገለጥ ይጠባበቃልና።

the effort of one who faithfully strives hard for the ( happiness ) of the life to come will be appreciated ( by god ) .
መጨረሻይቱንም ዓለም የፈለገ ሰው እርሱ አማኝ ኾኖ ለርሷ ( ተገቢ ) ሥራዋን የሠራም ሰው እነዚህ ሥራቸው የተመሰገነ ይኾናል ፡ ፡

and we have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm .
ጨረቃንም የመስፈሪያዎች ባለቤት ሲኾን እንደ ዘንባባ አሮጌ ቀንዘል እስኪኾን ድረስ ( መኼዱን ) ለካነው ፡ ፡

be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the lord draweth nigh.
እናንተ ደግሞ ታገሡ፥ ልባችሁንም አጽኑ፤ የጌታ መምጣት ቀርቦአልና።
