« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

if ethiopia does not have a wife, i do not want to marry her
ኢትዮጵያ ሚስት አፈልግም ማግባት አረብ ማግባት የምፈልግ ጎደኛ አለችኝ ሚስት ከሌለህ ዱባይ

i do not want from them any provision , nor do i want them to feed me .
ከነርሱም ምንም ሲሳይ አልፈልግም ፡ ፡ ሊመግቡኝም አልሻም ፡ ፡

in this way god seals the hearts of those who do not [ want to ] know [ the truth ] ,
እንደዚሁ አላህ በእነዚያ በማያውቁት ሰዎች ልቦች ላይ ያትማል ፡ ፡

if you turn away from me ( remember ) i do not ask any recompense from you . my reward is with god ; i have been commanded to be one of those who submit to him . "
« ብትሸሹም ( አትጎዱኝም ) ፡ ፡ ከምንዳ ምንንም አልለምናችሁምና ፡ ፡ ምንዳዬ በአላህ ላይ እንጂ በሌላ ላይ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ከሙስሊሞች እንድሆንም ታዝዣለሁ ፡ ፡ »

his. people remonstrated with him whereupon abraharn said : ' do you remonstrate with me concerning allah who has guided me to the right way ? i do not fear those whom you associate with allah in his divinity .
ወገኖቹም ተከራከሩት ፡ ፡ « በአላህ ( አንድነት ) በእርግጥ የመራኝ ሲኾን ትከራከሩኛላችሁን በእርሱም የምታጋሩትን ነገር አልፈራም ፡ ፡ ግን ጌታዬ ነገርን ቢሻ ( ያገኘኛል ) ፡ ፡ ጌታዬም ነገሩን ሁሉ ዕውቀቱ ሰፋ ፡ ፡ አትገነዘቡምን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

if you are still in doubt concerning my religion , know that i do not serve those whom you serve beside allah . i only serve allah who will cause ( all of ) you to die .
« እናንተ ሰዎች ሆይ ! ከእኔ ሃይማኖት በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ብትሆኑ እነዚያን ከአላህ ሌላ የምትገዟቸውን አልገዛም ፡ ፡ ግን ያንን የሚገድላችሁን አላህን እገዛለሁ ፡ ፡ ከምእምናን እንድሆንም ታዝዣለሁ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

he said , " my people , do you not realize that i have received authoritative evidence from my lord and have been granted a noble gift from him ? i do not want to oppose or ignore what i have prohibited you not to do .
« ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ንገሩኝ ፤ ከጌታዬ በሆነ አስረጅ ላይ ብሆንና ከእርሱም የሆነን መልካም ሲሳይ ቢሰጠኝ ( በቅጥፈት ልቀላቅለው ይገባልን ) ከእርሱ ወደ ከለከልኳችሁም ነገር ልለያችሁ አልሻም ፡ ፡ በተቻለኝ ያክል ማበጀትን እንጂ አልሻም ( ለደግ ሥራ ) መገጠሜም በአላህ እንጂ በሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡ በእርሱ ላይ ተመካሁ ፡ ፡ ወደእርሱም እመለሳለሁ ፤ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

he said : i desire to marry one of these two daughters of mine to you on condition that you should serve me for eight years ; but if you complete ten , it will be of your own free will , and i do not wish to be hard to you ; if allah please , you will find me one of the good .
« ስምንትን ዓመታት ልታገለግለኝ እኔ ከእነዚህ ሁለት ሴቶቸ ልጆቼ አንዲቱን ላጋባህ እሻለሁ ፡ ፡ ዐስርን ብትሞላም ከአንተ ነው ፡ ፡ ባንተ ላይ ማስቸገርንም አልሻም ፡ ፡ አላህ የሻ እንደ ኾነ ከመልካሞቹ ሰዎች ኾኜ ታገኘኛለህ » አለው ፡ ፡

he ( shu 'ayb ) said to ( moses ) , " i want to give one of my daughters to you in marriage on the condition that you will work for me for eight years , but you may continue for two more years only out of your own accord . i do not want it to become a burden for you .
« ስምንትን ዓመታት ልታገለግለኝ እኔ ከእነዚህ ሁለት ሴቶቸ ልጆቼ አንዲቱን ላጋባህ እሻለሁ ፡ ፡ ዐስርን ብትሞላም ከአንተ ነው ፡ ፡ ባንተ ላይ ማስቸገርንም አልሻም ፡ ፡ አላህ የሻ እንደ ኾነ ከመልካሞቹ ሰዎች ኾኜ ታገኘኛለህ » አለው ፡ ፡
