ትስቃላችሁምን ? አታለቅሱምን ?

but [ instead ] , he denied and turned away .
ግን አስተባበለ ፤ ( ከእምነት ) ዞረም ፡ ፡

በእርግጡ እነዚያ የካዱት ( በትንሣኤ ) ያስተባብላሉ ፡ ፡

instead of allah ? can they help you or help themselves ?
« ከአላህ ሌላ ሲኾኑ ይረዱዋችኋልን ወይስ ( ለራሳቸው ) ይርረዳሉን »

pharaoh led his people astray instead of leading them aright .
ፈርዖንም ሕዝቦቹን አሳሳታቸው ፡ ፡ ቅኑንም መንገድ አልመራቸውም ፡ ፡

bitch i said what i said i'd rather be famous instead
ከተማህን ቀይ ቀለም እንዲቀባ አድርግ

“ instead of allah – and herd them to the path leading to hell . ”
« ከአላህ ሌላ ( የሚገዙዋቸውን ሰብስቧቸው ) ወደ እሳት መንገድም ምሩዋቸው ፡ ፡

instead , they shall reject their worship , and become adversaries against them .
ይከልከሉ ፤ መገዛታቸውን በእርግጥ ይክዷቸዋል ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ላይ ተቃራኒ ይኾኑባቸዋል ፡ ፡

allah knows what they worship instead of him ; he is the almighty , the wise .
አላህ ያንን ከእርሱ ሌላ የሚግገዙትን ማንኛውንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡ እርሱም አሸናፊው ጥበበኛው ነው ፡ ፡

allah knoweth what thing they invoke instead of him . he is the mighty , the wise .
አላህ ያንን ከእርሱ ሌላ የሚግገዙትን ማንኛውንም ያውቃል ፡ ፡ እርሱም አሸናፊው ጥበበኛው ነው ፡ ፡

" instead of allah ? can they help you or ( even ) help themselves ? "
« ከአላህ ሌላ ሲኾኑ ይረዱዋችኋልን ወይስ ( ለራሳቸው ) ይርረዳሉን »

" instead of allah , and lead them on to the way of flaming fire ( hell ) ;
« ከአላህ ሌላ ( የሚገዙዋቸውን ሰብስቧቸው ) ወደ እሳት መንገድም ምሩዋቸው ፡ ፡

allah judgeth with truth , while those to whom they cry instead of him judge not at all . lo !
አላህም በእውነት ይፈርዳል ፡ ፡ እነዚያም ከእርሱ ሌላ የሚግገዟቸው በምንም አይፈርዱም ፡ ፡ አላህ እርሱ ሰሚው ተመልካቹ ነው ፡ ፡

and abu karim says we should improve what we already have instead of importing a western-style democracy:
አቡ ካሪም የምዕራባውያን የዴሞክራሲ ዘዬ ከውጭ ከምናመጣ ያለንን ማሻሻል ይገባናል ይላል፤

abraham said , " so , do you worship something instead of god that can neither benefit you nor harm you ?
« ታዲያ ለእናንተ ምንም የማይጠቅማችሁንና የማይጎዳችሁን ነገር ከአላህ ሌላ ትገዛላችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡

and yet , instead of god , they serve what neither profits them nor harms them . the disbeliever has always turned his back on his lord .
ከአላህም ሌላ የማይጠቅማቸውንና የማይጎዳቸውን ይግገዛሉ ፤ ከሓዲም በጌታው ላይ ( በማመጽ ለሰይጣን ) ረዳት ነው ፡ ፡

he calls on , instead of god , something that can neither harm him , nor benefit him . that is indeed straying far away --
ከአላህ ሌላ የማይጎዳውንና የማይጠቅመውን ይግገዛል ፡ ፡ ይህ እርሱ ( ከእውነት ) የራቀ ስህተት ነው ፡ ፡

and they worship such , other than allah , which neither benefit nor hurt them ; and the disbeliever helps the devil instead of his lord .
ከአላህም ሌላ የማይጠቅማቸውንና የማይጎዳቸውን ይግገዛሉ ፤ ከሓዲም በጌታው ላይ ( በማመጽ ለሰይጣን ) ረዳት ነው ፡ ፡
