it was not the devils that revealed it .
ሰይጣናትም እርሱን ( ቁርኣንን ) አላወረዱትም ፡ ፡

it was not the satans who brought it down :
ሰይጣናትም እርሱን ( ቁርኣንን ) አላወረዱትም ፡ ፡

now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
ነገር ግን። ተቈጠረለት የሚለው ቃል ስለ እርሱ ብቻ የተጻፈ አይደለም፥ ስለ እኛም ነው እንጂ፤

and some we drowned . it was not god who wronged them , but it was they who wronged their own selves .
ሁሉንም በኅጢኣቱ ያዝነው ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ጠጠርን ያዘለ ነፋስን የላክንበት አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ጩኸት የያዘችው አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱም ውስጥ በእርሱ ምድርን የደረባንበት አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ያሰጠምንው አልለ ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚበድላቸው አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን የሚበድሉ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

then sima nan said that it was not a question.
(ይህ እኔ ላስታውስ የቻልኩት ነገር ነው፣ አዝናለሁ) ፡፡

it was not but one shout , and immediately they were extinguished .
( ቅጣታቸው ) አንዲት ጩኸት እንጂ ሌላ አልነበረችም ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እነርሱ ጠፊዎች ኾኑ ፡ ፡

it was not the devils who brought down the quran :
ሰይጣናትም እርሱን ( ቁርኣንን ) አላወረዱትም ፡ ፡

it was not you who killed them , but it was god who killed them . and it was not you who launched when you launched , but it was god who launched .
አልገደላችኋቸውም ግን አላህ ገደላቸው ፡ ፡ ( ጭብጥን ዐፈር ) በወረወርክም ጊዜ አንተ አልወረወርክም ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ ወረወረ ( ወደ ዓይኖቻቸው አደረሰው ) ፡ ፡ ለአማኞችም ከርሱ የኾነን መልካም ጸጋ ለመስጠት ( ይህን አደረገ ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

for yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
ወንድሞች ሆይ፥ ራሳችሁ ወደ እናንተ መግባታችን ከንቱ እንዳልሆነ ታውቃላችሁና።

that they might eat of its fruits . it was not their hands that made them .
ከፍሬውና እጆቻቸው ከሠሩትም ይበሉ ዘንድ ( ይህን አደረግን ) ፤ አያመሰግኑምን ?

it was not in play that we created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them .
ሰማያትንና ምድርንም በሁለቱ መካከል ያለውንም ሁሉ ቀላጆች ኾነን አልፈጠርንም ፡ ፡

if it was not for the bounty of allah to you and his mercy , and allah is the gentle , the most merciful .
በእናንተም ላይ የአላህ ችሮታውና እዝነቱ ባልነበረ አላህም ሩኅሩኅና አዛኝ ባልኾነ ኖሮ ( ቶሎ ባጠፋችሁ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

and entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward capernaum. and it was now dark, and jesus was not come to them.
በታንኳም ገብተው በባሕር ማዶ ወደ ቅፍርናሆም ይመጡ ነበር። አሁንም ጨልሞ ነበር፤ ኢየሱስም ገና ወደ እነርሱ አልመጣም ነበር፤

it was not you who killed them , but allah slew them , neither was it you who threw at them . allah threw at them in order that he confers on the believers a fair benefit .
አልገደላችኋቸውም ግን አላህ ገደላቸው ፡ ፡ ( ጭብጥን ዐፈር ) በወረወርክም ጊዜ አንተ አልወረወርክም ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ ወረወረ ( ወደ ዓይኖቻቸው አደረሰው ) ፡ ፡ ለአማኞችም ከርሱ የኾነን መልካም ጸጋ ለመስጠት ( ይህን አደረገ ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

he said it was not for me that should prostrate myself unto a human being whom thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded .
« ከሚቅጨለጨል ሸክላ ከግም ጭቃ ለፈጠርከው ሰው ልሰግድ አይገባኝም » አለ ፡ ፡

and it was not for us to associate anything with allah . that is from the favor of allah upon us and upon the people , but most of the people are not grateful .
« የአባቶቼንም የኢብራሂምንና የኢስሐቅን ፣ የያዕቆብንም ሃይማኖት ተከትያለሁ ፡ ፡ ለእኛ በአላህ ምንንም ማጋራት አይገባንም ያ ( አለማጋራት ) በእኛ ላይና በሰዎቹ ላይ የአላህ ችሮታ ነው ፡ ፡ ግን አብዛኞቹ ሰዎች አያመሰግኑም ፡ ፡

it was not proper for us to choose any guardian other than you . but you gave them and their fathers the comforts of this life , so that they forgot your reminder and thus brought destruction upon themselves . "
« ጥራት ይገባህ ፤ ካንተ ሌላ ረዳቶችን ልንይዝ ለእኛ ተገቢያችን አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን እነርሱንም አባቶቻቸውንም መገንዘብን እስከተዉ ድረስ አጣቀምካቸው ፡ ፡ ጠፊ ሕዝቦችም ኾኑ » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

and we have already sent messengers before you and assigned to them wives and descendants . and it was not for a messenger to come with a sign except by permission of allah .
ከአንተ በፊትም መልክተኞችን በእርግጥ ልከናል ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ሚስቶችንና ልጆችን አድርገናል ፡ ፡ ለማንኛውም መልክተኛ በአላህ ፈቃድ እንጂ ተዓምር ሊያመጣ አይገባውም ፡ ፡ ለጊዜው ሁሉ ጽሑፍ አለው ፡ ፡

against some we sent a violent wind hurling stones , and some we seized with a mighty blast , and some we submerged under the earth , and some we drowned . it was not for god to wrong them , they wronged themselves .
ሁሉንም በኅጢኣቱ ያዝነው ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ጠጠርን ያዘለ ነፋስን የላክንበት አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ጩኸት የያዘችው አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነርሱም ውስጥ በእርሱ ምድርን የደረባንበት አልለ ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ውስጥ ያሰጠምንው አልለ ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚበድላቸው አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን የሚበድሉ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

it was not for us to take besides you any allies . but you provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined . "
« ጥራት ይገባህ ፤ ካንተ ሌላ ረዳቶችን ልንይዝ ለእኛ ተገቢያችን አልነበረም ፡ ፡ ግን እነርሱንም አባቶቻቸውንም መገንዘብን እስከተዉ ድረስ አጣቀምካቸው ፡ ፡ ጠፊ ሕዝቦችም ኾኑ » ይላሉ ፡ ፡
