they , turning towards them , said : " what is it that you have missed ? "
ወደነሱ ዞረውም « ምንድን ጠፋችሁ » አሉ ፡ ፡

lest you grieve for what you missed , or rejoice at what you received . god does not love the egoist and the braggart ,
( ይህ ማሳወቃችን ) ባመለጣችሁ ጸጋ ላይ እንዳታዝኑ አላህም በሰጣችሁ ነገር ( በትዕቢት ) እንዳትደሰቱ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም ኩራተኛን ጉረኛን ሁሉ አይወድም ፡ ፡

whom we made the target of our derision ? or are they here , and our eyes have missed them ? "
« መቀለጃ አድርገን ያዝናቸውን ? ወይስ ዓይኖቻችን ከእነሱ ዋለሉ ? »

did we take them ( wrongly ) for a laughing-stock , or have our eyes missed them ?
« መቀለጃ አድርገን ያዝናቸውን ? ወይስ ዓይኖቻችን ከእነሱ ዋለሉ ? »

but after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon , then , will they face destruction , -
ከእነሱም በኋላ ሶላትን ያጓደሉ ( የተዉ ) ፍላጎቶችንም የተከተሉ መጥፎ ምትኮች ተተኩ ! የገሀነምንም ሸለቆ በእርግጥ ያገኛሉ ፡ ፡

then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, it is not reason that we should leave the word of god, and serve tables.
አሥራ ሁለቱም ደቀ መዛሙርት ሁሉን ጠርተው እንዲህ አሉአቸው። የእግዚአብሔር ቃል ትተን ማዕድን እናገለግል ዘንድ የሚገባ ነገር አይደለም።

heard of something that is being censored, is under the threat of being censored or has been censored in the past that we have missed/failed to spot?
ከዚህ በፊት ሳንሱር የመደረግ አደጋ ላይ የነበሩ ወይም ከዚህ በፊት ሳንሱር ተደርገው የነበሩ እኛ ግን ለመለጠፍ ያላገኘቸው/የሳትናቸው ሳንሱር ስለተደረጉ አንዳንዶች ነገሮች ሰምታችኃል?

remember when you fled , not caring for anyone , even though the messenger was calling you from your rear . then he repaid you with sorrow upon sorrow , so that you would not grieve over what you missed , or for what afflicted you .
መልክተኛው ከኋላችሁ የሚጠራችሁ ሲኾን ርቃችሁ በምትሸሹና በአንድም ላይ የማትዞሩ በኾናችሁ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡ ባመለጣችሁና በደረሰባችሁም ነገር እንድታዝኑ በሐሳብ ላይ ሐሳብን መነዳችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህም በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡
