( ከዚያ ) ደረቅ ጥቁር ያደረገውንም ( አምላክ ስም አሞግስ ) ፡ ፡

then maketh it to stubble dusky .
( ከዚያ ) ደረቅ ጥቁር ያደረገውንም ( አምላክ ስም አሞግስ ) ፡ ፡

then made it dry dark , flaky stubble ,
( ከዚያ ) ደረቅ ጥቁር ያደረገውንም ( አምላክ ስም አሞግስ ) ፡ ፡

then he rendered them as stubble devoured .
ቅጠሉ እንደ ተበላ አዝመራም አደረጋቸው ፡ ፡

and [ then ] makes it black stubble .
( ከዚያ ) ደረቅ ጥቁር ያደረገውንም ( አምላክ ስም አሞግስ ) ፡ ፡

and then doth make it ( but ) swarthy stubble .
( ከዚያ ) ደረቅ ጥቁር ያደረገውንም ( አምላክ ስም አሞግስ ) ፡ ፡

thus he made them like stubble cropped by cattle ?
ቅጠሉ እንደ ተበላ አዝመራም አደረጋቸው ፡ ፡

if we will , we would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering ,
ብነሻ ኖሮ ደረቅ ስብርብር ባደረግነውና የምትደነቁም በኾናችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡

they did not cease to cry this until we reduced them to stubble , still and silent .
የታጨዱ ሬሳዎችም እስካደረግናቸው ድረስ ይህቺ ጠሪያቸው ከመኾን አልተወገደችም ፡ ፡

and this they did not stop crying out until we made them stubble , silent , and still .
የታጨዱ ሬሳዎችም እስካደረግናቸው ድረስ ይህቺ ጠሪያቸው ከመኾን አልተወገደችም ፡ ፡

then we sent a single blast against them and they became like dry stubble which has been trampled upon .
እኛ በእነርሱ ላይ አንዲትን ጩኸት ላክንባቸው ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም ከበረት አጣሪ ( አጥር ) እንደ ተሰባበረ ርግጋፊ ኾኑ ፡ ፡

that is of the tidings of the cities we relate to thee ; some of them are standing and some stubble .
ይህ ( የተነገረው ) ከከተሞቹ ወሬዎች ነው ፡ ፡ ባንተ ላይ እንተርከዋለን ፡ ፡ ከእርሷ ፋናው የቀረና ሙሉ በሙሉ የተደመሰሰ አለ ፡ ፡

for we sent against them a single mighty blast , and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle .
እኛ በእነርሱ ላይ አንዲትን ጩኸት ላክንባቸው ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም ከበረት አጣሪ ( አጥር ) እንደ ተሰባበረ ርግጋፊ ኾኑ ፡ ፡

now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
ማንም ግን በዚህ መሠረት ላይ በወርቅ ቢሆን በብርም በከበረ ድንጋይም በእንጨትም በሣርም ወይም በአገዳ ቢያንጽ፥ የእያንዳንዱ ሥራ ይገለጣል፤

so the shriek seized them in truth , and we made them as [ plant ] stubble . then away with the wrongdoing people .
ወዲያውም ( የጥፋት ) ጩኸቲቱ በእውነት ያዘቻቸው ፡ ፡ እንደ ጎርፍ ግብስባሽም አደረግናቸው ፡ ፡ ለበደለኞች ሕዝቦችም ( ከእዝነት ) መራቅ ተገባቸው ፡ ፡

give them an example about worldly life . it is like the vegetation of the earth that thrives when watered by the rain , which we send down from the sky , and then it all becomes stubble which the wind blows away .
ለእነሱም የቅርቢቱን ሕይወት ምሳሌ አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡ ( እርሷ ) ከሰማይ እንዳወረድነው ውሃ በእርሱም የምድር በቃይ እንደ ተቀላቀለበት ( ከተዋበ በኋላ ደርቆ ) ነፋሶችም የሚያበኑት ደቃቅ እንደ ኾነ ብጤ ናት ፡ ፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው ፡ ፡

( o prophet ) , propound to them the parable of the present life : it is like the vegetation of the earth which flourished luxuriantly when it mingled with the water that we sent down from the sky , but after that the same vegetation turned into stubble which the winds blew about . allah alone has the power over all things .
ለእነሱም የቅርቢቱን ሕይወት ምሳሌ አውሳላቸው ፡ ፡ ( እርሷ ) ከሰማይ እንዳወረድነው ውሃ በእርሱም የምድር በቃይ እንደ ተቀላቀለበት ( ከተዋበ በኋላ ደርቆ ) ነፋሶችም የሚያበኑት ደቃቅ እንደ ኾነ ብጤ ናት ፡ ፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው ፡ ፡
