tell me , he who forbids
አየህን ? ያንን የሚከለክለውን ፡ ፡

i want you to tell me that
እንደሱ እንድትለኝ ነው ምፈልገው

tell me , should we let them enjoy for some years ,
አየህን ብዙ ዓመታትን ብናጣቅማቸው ፤

tell me ! the fire which you kindle ,
ያቺንም የምትሰብቋትን እሳት አያችሁን ?

tell me , should he call him a liar and turn away
አየህን ? ንገረኝ ( ከልካዩ ) ቢያስተባብልና ( ከእምነት ) ቢሸሽ ፤

tell me ! the seed that you sow in the ground .
የምትዘሩትንም አያችሁን ?

tell me , should he be on [ true ] guidance ,
አየህን ? ንገረኝ ( ተከልካዩ ) በትክክለኛ መንገድ ላይ ቢኾን ፤

serkalem asks, "now tell me who is the terrorist?"
ሰርካለም እንዲህ ስትል ትጠይቃለች፣ "አሁን አሸባሪው ማን እንደሆነ ንገሩኝ?

then tell me ( about ) the human semen that you emit .
( በማኅፀኖች ) የምታፈሱትን አያችሁን ?

“ who used to tell me , ‘ do you believe it is true ? ’ –
« በእርግጥ አንተ ከሚያምኑት ነህን ? የሚል ፡ ፡

he will say : ah , would that i had sent before me ( some provision ) for my life !
« ዋ እኔ ! ምነው በሕይወቴ ( መልካምን ሥራ ) ባስቀደምኩ ኖሮ » ይላል ፡ ፡

and peter answered unto her, tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? and she said, yea, for so much.
ጴጥሮስም መልሶ። እስቲ ንገሪኝ፥ መሬታችሁን ይህን ለሚያህል ሸጣችሁትን? አላት። እርስዋም። አዎን፥ ይህን ለሚያህል ነው አለች።

( tell me ) o fellow-prisoners , are a number of gods better , or one god omnipotent ?
« የእስር ቤት ጓደኞቼ ሆይ ! የተለያዩ አምላኮች ይሻላሉን ወይስ አሸናፊው አንዱ አላህ

and he taught adam all the names , then presented them to the angels ; then he said : tell me the names of those if you are right .
አደምንም ስሞችን ሁሏንም አስተማረው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም በመላእክት ላይ ( ተጠሪዎቹን ) አቀረባቸው ፡ ፡ « እውነተኞችም እንደኾናችሁ የነዚህን ( ተጠሪዎች ) ስሞች ንገሩኝ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

say : tell me if it is from allah ; then you disbelieve in it , who is in greater error than he who is in a prolonged opposition ?
በላቸው « ንገሩኝ ( ቁርኣኑ ) ከአላህ ዘንድ ቢኾን ከዚያም በእርሱ ብትክዱ ( ከውነት ) በራቀ ጭቅጭቅ ላይ ከኾነ ሰው ይበልጥ የተሳሳተ ማን ነው ? »

ask them , " tell me , if the punishment of god came upon you suddenly or predictably , would any but the wrongdoers be destroyed ? "
« ንገሩኝ የአላህ ቅጣት በድንገት ወይም በግልጽ ቢመጣባችሁ አመጠኞች ሕዝቦች እንጅ ሌላ ይጠፋልን » በላቸው ፡ ፡

say , " tell me if the punishment of god came upon you or the hour overtook you , would you call upon any other than god , if you are truthful ? "
የአላህ ቅጣት ቢመጣባችሁ ወይም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ብትመጣባችሁ ከአላህ ሌላን ትጠራላችሁን እውነተኞች እንደ ኾናችሁ ንገሩኝ በላቸው ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , say to them , " tell me , if you know , to whom does the earth and its contents belong ? "
« ምድርና በውስጥዋ ያለው ሁሉ የማን ነው የምታውቁ ብትኾኑ ( ንገሩኝ ) » በላቸው ፡ ፡

" how should i fear ( the beings ) ye associate with allah , when ye fear not to give partners to allah without any warrant having been given to you ? which of ( us ) two parties hath more right to security ? ( tell me ) if ye know .
« በእናንተ ላይ በእርሱ ማስረጃን ያላወረደበትን እናንተ ማጋራታችሁን የማትፈሩ ስትኾኑ የምታጋሩትን ( ጣዖታት ) እንዴት እፈራለሁ ! የምታውቁም ብትኾኑ ከሁለቱ ክፍሎች በጸጥታ ይበልጥ ተገቢው ማንኛው ነው » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡
