መንገድንም ( ወደ ምዕራብ ) ተከተለ ፡ ፡

ask the township where we were , and the caravan with which we travelled hither . lo ! we speak the truth .
« ያችንም በውስጧ የነበርንባትን ከተማ ያችንም በውስጧ የመጣነውን ባለ ግመል ጓድ ጠይቅ ፡ ፡ እኛም በእርግጥ እውነተኞች ነን ፡ ፡ »

have they not travelled through the land to see the terrible end of those who lived before them . they had been mightier than them in power and in leaving their traces on earth .
የእነዚያን ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሕዝቦች ፍጻሜ እንዴት እንደነበረ ይመለከቱ ዘንድ በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምን ? በኀይልና በምድር ላይ በተዋቸው ምልክቶች ፤ ከእነርሱ ይበልጥ የበረቱ ነበሩ ፡ ፡ አላህም በኀጢአቶቻቸው ያዛቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ( ቅጣት ) ምንም ጠባቂ አልነበራቸውም ፡ ፡

and inquire those of the city where we have been and of the caravan with whom we have travelled hither ; and verily we are truth- tellers .
« ያችንም በውስጧ የነበርንባትን ከተማ ያችንም በውስጧ የመጣነውን ባለ ግመል ጓድ ጠይቅ ፡ ፡ እኛም በእርግጥ እውነተኞች ነን ፡ ፡ »

all the apostles we had sent before you were men of those regions , to whom we sent our revelations . have they not travelled on the earth and seen what befell the people before them ?
ካንተ በፊትም ከከተሞች ሰዎች ወደነርሱ ራእይ የምናወርድላቸው የኾኑን ወንዶችን እንጂ አልላክንም ፡ ፡ በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምና የእነዚያን ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሰዎች መጨረሻ አይመለከቱምን የመጨረሻይቱም አገር ለእነዚያ ለተጠነቀቁት በእርግጥ የተሻለች ናት ፤ አታውቁምን

and we sent not before thee any save men unto whom we revealed from among the people of the towns . have then they not travelled about in the land that they might observe of what wise hath been the end of those before them !
ካንተ በፊትም ከከተሞች ሰዎች ወደነርሱ ራእይ የምናወርድላቸው የኾኑን ወንዶችን እንጂ አልላክንም ፡ ፡ በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምና የእነዚያን ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሰዎች መጨረሻ አይመለከቱምን የመጨረሻይቱም አገር ለእነዚያ ለተጠነቀቁት በእርግጥ የተሻለች ናት ፤ አታውቁምን

have they not travelled ( sufficiently ) in the land to have understanding hearts and listening ears ? it is their hearts which are blind , not their ears .
ለእነርሱም በእነርሱ የሚያውቁባቸው ልቦች ወይም በእነርሱ የሚሰሙባቸው ጆሮች ይኖሯቸው ዘንድ በምድር ላይ አይሄዱምን እነሆ ዓይኖች አይታወሩም ግን እነዚያ በደረቶች ውስጥ ያሉት ልቦች ይታወራሉ ፡ ፡

have they not travelled in the land so that they should have hearts with which to understand , or ears with which to hear ? for surely it is not the eyes that are blind , but blind are the hearts which are in the breasts .
ለእነርሱም በእነርሱ የሚያውቁባቸው ልቦች ወይም በእነርሱ የሚሰሙባቸው ጆሮች ይኖሯቸው ዘንድ በምድር ላይ አይሄዱምን እነሆ ዓይኖች አይታወሩም ግን እነዚያ በደረቶች ውስጥ ያሉት ልቦች ይታወራሉ ፡ ፡

have they ( the unbelievers ) not travelled sufficiently through the land to see how terrible the end was of those who lived before . the next life is , certainly , better for the pious ones .
ካንተ በፊትም ከከተሞች ሰዎች ወደነርሱ ራእይ የምናወርድላቸው የኾኑን ወንዶችን እንጂ አልላክንም ፡ ፡ በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምና የእነዚያን ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሰዎች መጨረሻ አይመለከቱምን የመጨረሻይቱም አገር ለእነዚያ ለተጠነቀቁት በእርግጥ የተሻለች ናት ፤ አታውቁምን

( consider ) when moses said to his young companion , " i shall continue travelling until i reach the junction of the two seas or have travelled for many years " .
ሙሳም ለወጣቱ « የሁለቱን ባሕሮች መገናኛ እስከምደርስ ወይም ብዙን ጊዜ እስከምኼድ ድረስ ( ከመጓዝ ) አልወገድም » ያለውን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡
