ወደነሱ ዞረውም « ምንድን ጠፋችሁ » አሉ ፡ ፡

ተዓምራታችንንም ሰጠናቸው ፡ ፡ ከእርሷም ዘንጊዎች ነበሩ ፡ ፡

what is the matter with people that they are turning away from this exhortation ,
ከግሣጼዬም ( ከቁርኣን ) የሚያፈገፍጉት ለእነርሱ ምን አልላቸው ?

surely abraham was forbearing , tenderhearted and oft-turning to allah .
ኢብራሂም በእርግጥ ታጋሽ አልቃሻ መላሳ ነውና ፡ ፡

and your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before allah .
በሰጋጆች ውስጥ መዘዋወርህንም ( በሚያየው ጌታህ ላይ ተጠጋ ) ፡ ፡

my verses had already been recited to you , but you were turning back on your heels
አንቀጾቹ በእናንተ ላይ በእርግጥ ይነበቡላችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡ በተረከዞቻችሁም ላይ ወደ ኋላችሁ ትመለሱ ነበራችሁ ፡ ፡

there hath approached unto mankind their reckoning , while they in neglect are turning away .
ለሰዎች እነርሱ በዝንጋቴ ውስጥ ( መሰናዳትን ) የተው ኾነው ሳሉ ምርመራቸው ቀረበ ፡ ፡

and no sign comes to them from the signs of their lord except that they are from it turning away .
ከጌታቸውም ተዓምራት ማንኛይቱም ተዓምር አትመጣላቸውም ፤ ከእርሷ የሚሸሹ ቢኾኑ እንጅ ፡ ፡

perhaps our lord will give us a better substitute for it . we are turning to our lord . ”
« ጌታችን ከእርሷ የተሻለን ( አትክልት ) ሊለውጠን ይከጀላል ፡ ፡ እኛ ወደ ጌታችን ከጃዮች ነን ፤ » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

' there is no harm ' they replied , ' for surely to our lord we are turning .
( እነርሱም ) አሉ « ጉዳት የለብንም ፡ ፡ እኛ ወደ ጌታችን ተመላሾች ነን ፡ ፡
