" it was done by that chief of theirs . ask him in case they can speak . "
« አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው ፡ ፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው » አለ ፡ ፡

he said : but this , their chief hath done it . so question them , if they can speak .
« አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው ፡ ፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው » አለ ፡ ፡

he answered , " rather this biggest one of them did it . ask them , if they can speak . "
« አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው ፡ ፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው » አለ ፡ ፡

and when our revelations are recited unto them they say : we have heard . if we wish we can speak the like of this .
አንቀጾቻችንም በነሱ ላይ በተነበቡ ጊዜ « በእርግጥ ሰምተናል ፤ በሻን ኖሮ የዚህን ብጤ ባልን ነበር ፤ ይህ የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ጽሑፍ ተረቶች እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

he answered : " rather it was this supreme one who has done it . so ask them , if they can speak . "
« አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው ፡ ፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው » አለ ፡ ፡

he said : surely ( some doer ) has done it ; the chief of them is this , therefore ask them , if they can speak .
« አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው ፡ ፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው » አለ ፡ ፡

he said : " nay , this was done by - this is their biggest one ! ask them , if they can speak intelligently ! "
« አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው ፡ ፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው » አለ ፡ ፡

then , by the lord of the heaven and the earth , it is the truth ( i.e. what has been promised to you ) , just as it is the truth that you can speak .
በሰማይና በምድር ጌታም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡ እርሱ እናንተ እንደምትናገሩት ብጤ እርግጠኛ ነው ፡ ፡

' adn ( edn ) paradise ( everlasting gardens ) , whose doors will be open for them , [ it is said ( in tafsir at-tabari , part 23 , page 174 ) that one can speak to the doors , just one tells it to open and close , and it will open or close as it is ordered ] .
