avoid vain talk ,
እነዚያም እነርሱ ከውድቅ ንግግር ራቂዎች ፡ ፡

who avoid vain talk ;
እነዚያም እነርሱ ከውድቅ ንግግር ራቂዎች ፡ ፡

and who shun vain conversation ,
እነዚያም እነርሱ ከውድቅ ንግግር ራቂዎች ፡ ፡

and amuse themselves with vain argumentation .
ለእነዚያ እነርሱ በውሸት ውስጥ የሚጫወቱ ለኾኑት ፡ ፡

and those who from everything vain turn away .
እነዚያም እነርሱ ከውድቅ ንግግር ራቂዎች ፡ ፡

therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse .
በውስጥዋ ውድቅ ንግግርንና መውወንጀልን አይሰሙም ፡ ፡

therein they shall hear neither vain talk nor lies
በውስጧ ትርፍ ቃልንም ማስዋሸትንም አይሰሙም ፡ ፡

they say : then that would be a vain proceeding .
« ይህቺ ያን ጊዜ ባለ ከሳራ መመለስ ናት » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

" but we used to talk vanities with vain talkers ;
« ከዘባራቂዎቹም ጋር እንዘባርቅ ነበርን ፡ ፡

there hear they never vain discourse , nor lying -
በውስጧ ትርፍ ቃልንም ማስዋሸትንም አይሰሙም ፡ ፡

and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk ,
« ከዘባራቂዎቹም ጋር እንዘባርቅ ነበርን ፡ ፡

build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight ?
« የምትጫወቱ ኾናችሁ በከፍተኛ ስፍራ ሁሉ ላይ ምልክትን ትገነባላችሁን

and bear patiently the vain things they utter , and gracefully forsake them .
( ከሓዲዎች ) በሚሉትም ላይ ታገሥ ፡ ፡ መልካምንም መተው ተዋቸው ፡ ፡

but he who feared standing before his lord , and restrained his self from vain desires ,
በጌታው ፊት መቆምን የፈራ ሰውማ ነፍሱንም ከዝንባሌዋ የከለከለ

and those who disbelieve , perdition is for them , and he will make their actions vain .
እነዚያም የካዱት ለእነርሱ ጥፋት ተገባቸው ፡ ፡ ሥራዎቻቸውንም አጠፋባቸው ፡ ፡

and of them are unlettered ones who know not the book but vain desires ; and they do but conjecture .
ከነሱም መጽሐፉን የማያውቁ መሃይማናን አሉ ፡ ፡ ግን ከንቱ ምኞቶችን ( ይመኛሉ ) ፤ እነርሱም የሚጠራጠሩ እንጂ ሌላ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

and deny , and follow their own vain desires ; but every matter is determined at its time .
አስተባበሉም ፡ ፡ ዝንባሌዎቻቸውንም ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ ነገርም ሁሉ ( ወሰን አለው ) ፤ ረጊ ነው ፡ ፡

by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what i preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
በከንቱ ካላመናችሁ በቀር፥ ብታስቡት፥ በምን ቃል እንደ ሰበክሁላችሁ አሳስባችኋለሁ።

" and we used to talk falsehood ( all that which allah hated ) with vain talkers .
« ከዘባራቂዎቹም ጋር እንዘባርቅ ነበርን ፡ ፡

and when they hear vain talk , they turn away from it and say , " we have our actions and you have yours . we wish you peace .
ውድቅንም ቃል በሰሙ ጊዜ ከእርሱ ይርቃሉ ፡ ፡ « ለእኛ ሥራዎቻችን አሉን ፡ ፡ ለናንተም ሥራዎቻችሁ አሏችሁ ፡ ፡ ሰላም በእናንተ ላይ ( ይኹን ) ባለጌዎችን አንፈልግም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡
