and the overthrown cities did he overthrow ,
የተገለበጠችውንም ከተማ ደፋ ፡ ፡

did he choose daughters rather than sons ?
በወንዶች ልጆች ላይ ይልቅ ሴቶችን ልጆች መረጥን ?

and the jinn did he create of smokeless fire .
ጃንንም ከእሳት ከኾነ ነበልባል ፈጠረው ፡ ፡

did he not bring their plan to naught ?
ተንኮላቸውን በጥፋት ውስጥ ( ከንቱ ) አላደረገምን ? ( አድርጓል ) ፡ ፡

did he not bring their stratagem to naught ,
ተንኮላቸውን በጥፋት ውስጥ ( ከንቱ ) አላደረገምን ? ( አድርጓል ) ፡ ፡

and did he not find you in need and make you rich ?
ድኻም ኾነህ አገኘህ ፤ አከበረህም ፡ ፡

did he not cause their schemes to go astray ?
ተንኮላቸውን በጥፋት ውስጥ ( ከንቱ ) አላደረገምን ? ( አድርጓል ) ፡ ፡

again accursed be he , how evilly did he decide !
ከዚያም ( ከሞት በኋላ ) ተረገመ ፡ ፡ እንዴት ገመተ !

did he not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter ?
የቲም ኾነህ አላገኘህምና አላስጠጋህምን ? ( አስጠግቶሃል ) ፡ ፡

and the jinns did he create from a smokeless flame of fire .
ጃንንም ከእሳት ከኾነ ነበልባል ፈጠረው ፡ ፡

again , ruin seize him , how did he hatch a scheme ?
ከዚያም ( ከሞት በኋላ ) ተረገመ ፡ ፡ እንዴት ገመተ !

but he did not verify the truth , nor did he observe prayer ;
አላመነምም አልሰገደምም ፡ ፡

and how did he deal with thamud who hewed out rocks in the valley ?
በሰሙድም በእነዚያ በሸለቆው ቋጥኝን የቆረጡ በኾኑት ፡ ፡

did he adopt daughters from what he creates while he preferred you with sons ?
ከሚፈጥረው ውስጥ ሴቶች ልጆችን ያዘን ? በወንዶች ልጆችም ( እናንተን ) መረጣችሁን ?
