আর যে তার মাতাপিতাকে বলে -- ''ধুত্তোর তোমাদের জন্য! তোমরা কি আমাকে ভয় দেখাচ্ছ যে আমাকে বের করা হবে, অথচ আমার আগে বহু মানববংশ গত হয়েই গেছে? আর তারা দুজনে আল্লাহ্‌র সাহায্য কামনা করবে -- ''ধিক্ তোমার জন্য! ঈমান আনো, আল্লাহ্‌র ওয়াদা অবশ্যই সত্য।’’ কিন্তু সে বলে -- ''এতো অতীতকালের উপকথা ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়।’’

“ and what is the matter with me that i should not worship him who created me , whereas it is towards him that you are to return ? ”
''আর আমার কি হয়েছে যে আমি তাঁর উপাসনা করব না, যিনি আমাকে সৃজন করেছেন, আর তাঁরই কাছে তোমাদের ফিরিয়ে নেয়া হবে?

whichever place you come from turn towards the holy mosque , and wherever you are , turn your faces towards it so that people may have no cause for argument against you , except such among them as are wicked . but do not fear them , fear me that i may accomplish my favours on you , and you may find the right way perchance .
আর তোমরা যেখান থেকেই বেরিয়ে আস এবং যেখানেই অবস ্ থান কর , সেদিকেই মুখ ফেরাও , যাতে করে মানুষের জন ্ য তোমাদের সাথে ঝগড়া করার অবকাশ না থাকে । অবশ ্ য যারা অবিবেচক , তাদের কথা আলাদা । কাজেই তাদের আপত ্ তিতে ভীত হয়ো না । আমাকেই ভয় কর । যাতে আমি তোমাদের জন ্ যে আমার অনুগ ্ রহ সমূহ পূর ্ ণ করে দেই এবং তাতে যেন তোমরা সরলপথ প ্ রাপ ্ ত হও ।

and from whatsoever place you come forth , turn your face towards the sacred mosque ; and wherever you are turn your faces towards it , so that people shall have no accusation against you , except such of them as are unjust ; so do not fear them , and fear me , that i may complete my favor on you and that you may walk on the right course .
আর তোমরা যেখান থেকেই বেরিয়ে আস এবং যেখানেই অবস ্ থান কর , সেদিকেই মুখ ফেরাও , যাতে করে মানুষের জন ্ য তোমাদের সাথে ঝগড়া করার অবকাশ না থাকে । অবশ ্ য যারা অবিবেচক , তাদের কথা আলাদা । কাজেই তাদের আপত ্ তিতে ভীত হয়ো না । আমাকেই ভয় কর । যাতে আমি তোমাদের জন ্ যে আমার অনুগ ্ রহ সমূহ পূর ্ ণ করে দেই এবং তাতে যেন তোমরা সরলপথ প ্ রাপ ্ ত হও ।

and the king said : " bring him to me that i may attach him to my person . " then , when he spoke to him , he said : " verily , this day , you are with us high in rank and fully trusted . "
আর রাজা বললেন -- ''তাঁকে আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস, আমি তাঁকে আমার নিজের জন্য একান্তভাবে গ্রহণ করব।’’ সুতরাং তিনি যখন তাঁর সাথে আলাপ করলেন তখন বললেন -- ''আপনি আজ নিশ্চয়ই হলেন আমাদের সমক্ষে সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত, বিশ্বাসভাজন।’’
