zar vam nisu dolazili poslanici između vas, kazivali vam znakove moje i upozoravali vas susretom ovog dana vašeg?

children of adam, when messengers of your own come to narrate to you my verses, those who are cautious and mend their ways will have nothing to fear neither shall they be saddened,
o sinovi ademovi! ako vam dođu poslanici između vas, kazivaće vam ajete moje, pa ko se poboji i popravi, tad neće biti straha nad njima, niti će oni žaliti.

'company of jinn and mankind, did not messengers come to you from among you, relating to you my signs and warning you of the encounter of this your day?'
"o skupe džinski i ljudski, zar vam iz redova vas samih poslanici nisu dolazili koji su vam ajete moje kazivali i upozoravali vas da ćete ovaj vaš dan dočekati?"

"o company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you my verses and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours?"
"o skupe džinski i ljudski, zar vam iz redova vas samih poslanici nisu dolazili koji su vam ajete moje kazivali i upozoravali vas da ćete ovaj vaš dan dočekati?"

if there should come to you messengers from among you, relating to you my signs, then whosoever is godfearing and makes amends -- no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow.
ako vam dođu poslanici između vas, kazivaće vam ajete moje, pa ko se poboji i popravi, tad neće biti straha nad njima, niti će oni žaliti.

he said, "my lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have i been in my supplication to you, my lord, unhappy.
i rekao: "gospodaru moj, kosti su mi oronule i glava osijedjela, a nikada nisam, kad sam ti, gospodaru moj, molbu uputio, nesretan ostao.

o children of adam! if there come to you messengers from amongst you, reciting to you, my verses, then whosoever becomes pious and righteous, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
o sinovi ademovi, kad vam između vas samih budu dolazili poslanici koji će vam propise moje objašnjavati – onda se oni koji se budu allaha bojali i dobra djela činili neće ničega bojati niti će za bilo čim tugovati;

children of adam! if there should come to you messengers from among you, relating to you my signs, then whosoever is godfearing and makes amends -- no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow.
o sinovi ademovi, kad vam između vas samih budu dolazili poslanici koji će vam propise moje objašnjavati – onda se oni koji se budu allaha bojali i dobra djela činili neće ničega bojati niti će za bilo čim tugovati;

but if they turn away, [say], "i have already conveyed that with which i was sent to you. my lord will give succession to a people other than you, and you will not harm him at all.
pa ako okrenete leđa – a ja sam vam saopćio ono što vam je po meni poslano – gospodar moj će umjesto vas narod drugi dovesti, i vi mu ničim nećete nauditi; gospodar moj zaista bdi nad svim."

"if ye turn away,- i (at least) have conveyed the message with which i was sent to you. my lord will make another people to succeed you, and you will not harm him in the least.
pa ako okrenete leđa – a ja sam vam saopćio ono što vam je po meni poslano – gospodar moj će umjesto vas narod drugi dovesti, i vi mu ničim nećete nauditi; gospodar moj zaista bdi nad svim."
